I've gone to the weigh-ins live a couple of times - it's not a bad way to spend Friday afternoon. If they're free and general admission it can get a little crazy.

Like faber sub and McGregor decision. Lauzon ITD aint bad either. Good luck with Cole Miller. I think Siler will probably get beat. He doesn't pack a lot of striking power and MTB is pretty tough. Siler could maybe pull off a sub but MTB hasn't been subbed since 2005 and his level of competition has been pretty high. I could see MTB gassing though. Of course he is getting older as well. The Lauzon bet worries me a little bit(thinking about playing it myself). My concern is Lauzons takedowns are not that great and MJ has decent takedown defense. Not great but decent. I think if it goes three rounds Lauzon will take him down at some point and from there he should have a huge advantage and probably submit him. My only other concern is MJ is a fast, athletic power puncher and lauzon isn't amazing on the feet(though he has had his moments). I think Lauzon has fixed his conditioning issues(evidence Jim miller fight) and MJ showed some conditioning issues in the Reza Madadi fight. That sort of fight is similar to what Joe Lauzon will bring(faced paced grueling fight) so he should be able to win but Mj has the tools to win. Though I think he lose. I know this is a rant but you get the idea.

I was thinking the same thing about the tko. I heard so much about the hacran dias fight that I should really watch it. I got the impression that hacran was able to completely dominate him on the floor. If he can do it Urijah should be able to do it. In addition to that Faber has not been tko'd since 2008 and he has fought some good guys with good hands since then. If all those thoughts are correct we should see Faber get Alcantra down and be able to HOLD him down. That is the critical part. I think if Hacran can control him then Faber should be able to keep him down every round. That would mean he only has to land one, maybe two takedowns per round to win. I still have to watch the fight. I am a lazy bum, will do it tonight.

Yeah I understand he is a great scrambler that goes for anything. Frankly I think MJ's wrestling isn't that great he was just able to use it effectively a couple times(shane roller for example). I think Lauzon will wear on him if he doesn't submit him and do really well in round three. I just worry MJ will land a big punch on rounds 1 or two or edge him out with takedown defense. Of course 15 minutes is a long time for MJ to go without getting submitted by Lauzon.
