There's a poster named Raiders here at SBR. He recommends adding $0.30 more to the miners fee rate at the time of your transaction to help speed it along.

I had a bitcoin transaction completed yesterday... it only took 11 minutes with 70,000+ transactions unconfirmed on the network. So adding an extra $0.30 cents does help.

The unconfirmed btc transactions are at highest level I have ever seen....wow until it goes back down under 50k slow confirmation to stay. https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

150,000 right now! I keep trying to buy some on coinbase with my debit but it keeps canceling the transaction. Never had that happen before.

This is what sucks about bitcoin and it's only going to get worse I think. It's a fukin gamble to know how long a transaction will take. Books should put up lines on how long a transaction will take over or under 1.5 hours.

took 2 full days and even after 50 confirmations still had to call the book to put the funds in, sigh. Ended up losing $80 bucks for nothing. Thanks a lot you fukking crooks.

It sucks... but you need to add more to your miners fees.

My fee was $1.25 but the transaction was confirmed in 11 minutes.

And I still lost around $13.50 from fluctuation. That sucked too.

blockchain does not require confirmation.

This morning I sent some BTC to Nitrogen and it got there in about two minutes.

An hour ago I sent some BTC to 5dimes, and it hasn't arrived yet. This is the longest I can remember having to wait. I hope it doesn't end up taking two days like yours did.

Did 5 Dimes hose you on the price? Typically if they don't receive it in 15 minutes... you get robbed on the rate.

No. I actually made out slightly. I shipped them $600, and they gave me $600.97.

I put the $.97 towards my retirement. It felt good.

I always make sure to make my fee atleast .80$.. does a huge difference
