I started betting on baseball a couple of months ago, and I too believed in betting underdogs (hallelujah, I had seen the light), but then came the allstar game, and the dogs were slaughtered. Seems they're back though, but here comes the question (finally) :

How come this allstar thing is a turning point? Is this going on every season?

as far as answering your question Foolosophy. it's just trends i've noticed over the past 20 years roughly. it's was really bad for dog bettors before the wild card came into play.
