Cleveland looks like they are going to be White Sox beatch again this year. I know one game does not make a season but last year Indians bull pen was terrible 1st half of the year as I type it's 10-3 in the 7th. White Sox on the other hand look like they're picking up where they left off.

I love the Rockies under 11.5 tomorrow. Webb has pitched well at coors, the D-backs have a pretty tame lineup, and the Rockies have an improved bullpen. I'm taking off for Coors in the morning for opening day so good luck everyone!!!

Considering Cardinals (Carpenter) -1.5 (+110) and Over 8.5 (-120) as they play Phillies (Lieber)
Considering Mets (Glavine) at -1.5 (+135) playing the Nationals (Hernandez)
Considering Tigers (Rogers) at -1.5 (+115) playing the Royals (Elarton)
Considering Yankees (Johnson) / Athletics (Zito) Over 7.5 (-110) [too much offense here]

Anyone have any thoughts on these?

    Like Philly
I don't like laying 1.5 with the inferior pitcher - actually I like the Nats, and may take them.
    No clue about the Tigers
Like the total, quite a bit actually.

    Barry Zito:

    April 2005: 6.60 ERA
    April 2004: 6.83 ERA

Over his career, he has a 4.89 ERA in April. The next highest of any other month: 3.79.

    I like the over.

While the alt run lines are cool and all, it will be straight ML for me for quite a while, as I am more than ready for a break from the agony of covering/not covering and am just so happy happy happy to have a new game in town where everyone we put money on is trying hard, every day or night, to do exactly the same thing we have bet on -- win the game, that's all.

This is why I love baseball. I have the Cubs -125 and already have a 5-0 lead in the first.

It's beginning to look like this is the first jinx of the season.
