i remember in the summer there was a sunday night game between the cards and the rockies with an over/under of 8.5, i had the over and 6 runs were put in in the first. 1200 double plays, stranded runners, miracle plays and blunders later, the game finished with 8 runs...tonight was redemption.

Thank LTA .... your analysis of Det Tex persuaded me into a play on Tex. I was going to sit it out, work preventing me from watching the 4 p.m. start but got in anyhow after sizing up your analysis and rain delay meant I could watch most of the game at the local. I had the under on Stl Mil at 7.5 -130 so just nabbed that one for a 2-0 evening that was just about a sweet as the honkers on the chickie bartender.
Thanks again time for bed I'm drunk.

MLB Final Numbers for Regular Season 2011
418 - 378 = +38.03x
MLB 2011 Playoff Recap 10/12/11
1 - 0 - 1= +1x
We got some luck with that Cardinals push and we'll certainly take it. However, both of tonight's wagers beat the closer by significant margins and that makes them long term profitable propositions. We did our job and the players backed us up.
MLB 2011 Playoffs
13 - 6 = +7.112x
Lot of work to do...back to the grind.

MLB 2011 Playoffs 10/13/11
Play #1
Rangers/Tigers under (7)(+105) 1x (Locked)
I would rather take this play under 7 (+105) than under 7.5 (-125 or -130). I don't think we need to pay the juice and this is not a good spot to do so. I would rather take this at even odds because this game is either really low scoring with a deep performance by Verlander or this one flies over the posted total. You may want to contemplate the first five under on this one, especially if you can get 4, however, I'm rolling with the full game under. I expect Verlander to come out ultra-focused and prepared to pitch in this one with a strong rebound performance from his previous start. We cashed the first game of this series on the under, but it was a struggle and were actually aided a bit by the rain delay. However, Verlander is rested and ready to go in this one. Don't be surprised if you see Verlander throw 130+ pitches tomorrow because the Tigers season rests on his shoulders and Leyland really does not have any other dependable arms in the pen. On the other side, Wilson needs to be sharper than he has been in his previous starts but I think he shows up as he has always done. Both players have upper echelon advanced stats and solid histories against these lineups. The ump is Nelson who has a great strike rate of 63.8 and has generally had a slight under lean throughout his career, if not this year. The wind is projected to be blowing in from center at about 6 mph. However, we do need to keep our eye on possible rain. Regardless, we have an elimination game with two great pitchers on the mound...I love the under in this situation and I'm rolling that way for 1x. Good luck.

LTA what do you think about the Texas ML @ +149?
I haven't put 2gether all my argument and numbers yet, however C.J. Wilson's ability to create double play balls in the Detroit infield will not be the same as in Texas, he is unequivocally the biggest vulnerability to the Texas ML argument but I can see this being a close game, with perhaps Texas eeking out a victory for a WS birth, small unit play lean? Not sure yet.

No play for me. I think that number is pretty accurate. I have 8.3. I wouldn't be surprised to see it hit though....GL

Thanks for your answer. I lean Texas ML and Cardinals ML today. Do you have any leans on the side today ?

Compared to Mike Napoli? Meh. Wells is overpaid, old and hasn't really lived up to expectations. Most people thought that was a pretty bad trade.

No....i find no edge in those games. 50/50 coinflip at current prices..i would maybe think about verlander if it was cheaper....

Randy Wolf has pretty good numbers against the cards hitters. Kind of like the Brewers at +125...

My mom just happens to be in Dallas right now for job training. I will try to get ahold of her before the game starts to see what the weather looks like. I will update the thread if I get any information from my "informant". So far the weather looks good.
Off-topic: Take a look at the Devils/Kings over. Low number at 5 IMO.

At the time they didn't. Scioscia was never going to use Napoli full time anyhow. Obv. in hindsight it was a terrible trade but I don't remember people complaining @ the time.
I agree that Wells is overpaid but I wouldn't consider 32 old?? Napoli is 30 himself. Texas (via Tor) made out nicely but all I'm saying is Wells is a little better than "pretty much nothing?"
