Yanks being the most popular sports commodity in the world definitely has it's influence. I'll defer to LTA as to what degree that is influencing these moves, I would think the Sharp money would have bought in before the inevitable "square" Yankee plays. Not my area of expertise though........GL fella's

Line starting to move around and I have a busy day at work ahead of me so I'm going to take the +153. I have the tigers as +131 dogs so the inflated odds on the yanks for very similar teams provides some nice value. Fister is by far the better pitcher tonight, and despite more bullpen options for the yanks, I'm rolling with the tigers for 1x. Good luck.

Sorry, I was traveling home from work and could not respond. In this case, without knowing for sure, I believe there is so called "sharp" money on both sides. Just like on this board, you have "value" sharps who are jumping all over the Tigers at +150 or more solely because of overinflated odds on the Yanks and their actual probability of winning not matching such inflated odds. In addition, you have other "sharps" that feel the Yanks are the superior team, are playing at home and should pull this out because of the superior bullpen. However, what you also have driving up the price is the overwhelming amount of money coming in from the five burroughs of NY. NY is one of the main betting markets in the world -- not only the country -- and make no mistake that every Joe Yankee fan is jumping all over this game betting everywhere from $10 to $1000 because the "yanks can't possibly lose this one at home."

I have seen so much nonsense written on this board, that it really questions what some of these guys actually know about sports investing. To me, the Yanks have a solid chance of winning. But their true probability of winning does not come close to matching a -170 price. The Tigers have the superior starter and a comparable offense. I expect a good game and for the Tigers to end up on top after 5 innings and after 9. Good luck.
