papi in lineup means sox will score, he has never been in the lineup with the sox and they haven't scored.

i like the sox .. worley has pitched well but i think bos breaks out of their mini slump with some runs tonight. its nice and warm here and phila and thats when the ball tends to fly out of this park.

Worley giving up over .5 hrs is a nice play as well.

too bad the Sox don’t have a young hitter sitting in the bench that has been killing the ball at both AAA and the time he has spend at MLB, when he;s not forced to sit on the bench and watch Darnell McDonald and Mike Cameron post their 200 wOba

i played D-I college ball and half my team was drafted with 2 top 10 picks. it is all political as you already know. who gets the the big contracts and who the management thinks are their guys get all the time and attention until they have squeezed it out way past career ending surgeries.

I don't know who Gry1 and Thebest are talking about, but it seems to solidify my opinion that Tito is an average manager.

With Ortiz in the lineup and Gonzalez in RF, you combine upgraded offense with downgraded defense. I like the OVER.

hmm, they are starting Reddick, which means Ortiz is effectively replacing JD Drew. Giving that issue, Im not sure this improves the team overall.

The hit they take on defense im not real sure makes up for the improvement in offense.

Doesn't matter to me. Ortiz can't be much worse than Princess Fielder.

odds are the "one" game will help the offense more than the defense

What do you mean by the "one" game?

And Houlihans, you're just using Fielder here because you consider him to be the worst defensively?

                                  Ortiz is pretty bad.

this game. ortiz at first and gonzalez in right will likely have little effect on the outcome defensively. if francona thought that he would have never of done this and rolled the dice with j.d. drew (btw has a ops at philly of over 1.000 which is very good).

Princess is one of the worst 1st base defenders in baseball. Hell the Brewers whole infield below average.

Cameron designated for assignment, so Reddick will get more playing time.
