also, if anyone is considering playing the Rangers/Tribe over, i'd seriously reconsider if i were you. the wind has shifted over the course of the day, what was looking like a decent over wind is actually now looking like an under wind. add in Kellogg behind the plate (not a major under ump, but he leans that way) and the fact that the under is getting juiced despite the public being on the over, and that's a recipe for trouble.

Really good start, I am worried if the Cubs will add to that total or not.

thanks, pal. me too. my hope is that Garcia doesn't go too long, Cards pen should be good for a couple. plus, Dempster has yet to truly implode. but i hear you, really wanted another run there with Rasmus at bat.

Great work brother. How are your totals on the year? Always thought you were one of the most underrated guys around this joint for this and col hoops.

3-1 +6.46u last night, officially putting me back on the sunny side of even money, now 101-94-10 +3.61u on the season. another run from the Scrubs could've made it a really great night, but no complaints here.
thanks a lot for the kudos, fellas, i genuinely appreciate it. first season of bases capping, and only reason i started is that i broke my foot and have been stuck in a walking boot for 3 months so no golf or working out. almost packed it in a few weeks ago at my low point (about -35u). glad i stuck around for this hot streak. 13-4 last four days, i'd better enjoy it because it surely won't last much longer.

thanks, pal, i appreciate the kind words. i've focused just on totals the last few weeks, and it's worked out well. for the season, i'm 34-23-2 on overs and 36-30-7 on unders. i don't have them broken down into units at that level, but it's safe to say that my totals are much better than my sides or first inning plays.

to be clear, i agree that the difference wasn't huge. i had the public on the over at around 55-58% based upon vegasinsider, sbrodds and covers. the main thing is that the total was dropping, there was no indication that the public was on the under and early weather reports would've favored the over. also, just looking at that game, it's really hard to imagine the public on the under (public love Rangers over in general and Tribe over at home, and rightfully so). my hypothesis was that sharp money was on the under because of the shifting wind and the pitching match-up (Masterson looked good, and as a Tribe fan, i really expected them to struggle against Ogando). sharp money lost on the under, but only because the Tribe's pen was uncharacteristically bad (7 ERs in the final 3 innings).
