Mauer is out and on the DL..... it's unknown how long.. could be for the season. Some rare muscle thing.

I wish they weren't playing the doucherays... i just can't bet on them unless they are going against a overrated pitcher and get great odds...i don't trust their offense at all.

Thread is 2 weeks old, and Twins are still in the tank. They can't hit and have the worst ERA in the American League. Having the worst OPS in the American League complements the lousy pitching nicely. They've scored more than 5 runs exactly once in the last 35 games or so.

Yeah... every year SI always picks the Twins to suck. This year they get some love and reverse curse

Baseball is a long season though... I will revisit this thread in the dog days of summer and see the Twins put together some nice win streaks...

In the AL betting is pretty simple.... Look at the 6-7-8-9 hitters... if they collectively suck then you bet against that team.
You can't win even at +130-+140 with Casilla, Butera, Tolbert out there.

I would say you are nuts betting on any Twins games right now. They have a lineup which CAN put up a lot of runs when healthy. You know Morneau is not going to have 0-3 and 0-4 nights every single time out of the gate. When Delmon Young gets healthy, mauer healthy that will definitely help but as the lineup stands right now it's too unpredictable. Luke Hughes has power but has fukkin sucked so far, Casilla is worthless obviously along with Tolbert and Butera. But based on their past history this is also a team that can turn things on in a hurry.

I think this is more of a mirage then a trend. However if the twins starting pitching keeps shitting the bed then no matter if mauer or morneau or anyone turns it on this team will be a 74 win team and not a 90 win team.
