Note: black666's backtest posted five losses for system 2 in 2009; the reason for the discrepancy is that this system has been played as a five-game chase and there were three additional game 6 wins if you take those into account. I'm wondering about the nine losses in 2008, how many of these had a game 6 win as well; 2008 posted.Comment -

#763Just a quick question for those who care to reply...are you using a traditional labby or a variation (i.e. three or four strike) ...what does your line structure look like? In other words are you running one line per game or combining games (a line for games 1&2, another line for 3&4 and a third for 5&6...or something similar)? Just curious because I an coming in kind of late and don't want to try and reinvent the wheel if you guys have a system that is working well. It seems like most of the games are hitting close to 50% so even a traditional labby should work pretty well but I don't want to have a bunch of lines all over the place when we have multiple games running at once. From looking back in the thread, I see it is not uncommon to have 5 or 6 games on each side in a day so any help in the structure would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!Comment -

#766Thanks and good luck with your plays, guys!
Note: we've got an overlap tonight with the Cardinals hosting the Blue Jays; though I have to admit I have a bad feeling about this -- Toronto is a very good team on a slide and barely scoring lately and they're facing two very good pitchers, JW tonight and Garcia tomorrow. I'm putting my money on Toronto as I've been tailing them since game 3, but it looks quite risky.

I'm pretty much restructuring them every few days, I'm still trying to decide which systems I'll be playing and how much money will I be putting in each.
As per the shutout system, I'm always playing game 1 and I decide on the other games looking at the stats and trends, trying to play as many as possible though. If the line goes over -165, I play -1 RL. I'm using a 3-strike approach and a starting line is 3 #'s (which is the amount to win = unit). Unit size = 0.18% of roll. I've got lots of lines for different systems and I sometimes use the shutout lines with different plays, so there's no strategy here to speak of yet, I'll come up with one when the season ends when I have data and experience
The advice I could give you right away would be: use more than three lines and don't go with a big starting unit size. The system is phenomenal, but it's a long hard grind and you have to be very careful.Comment -

#769Quick tip regarding what kind of labby to run, with the fade system it's seems like games 4-6 don't get much action. Out of 155 games only 19 went to game 4, this means game 4, 5, and 6, are going to take much longer to clear than games 1, 2, and 3. To balance this out I would use 3 lines.
Games 1/4
Games 2/5
Games 3/6
Most games clear by game 3, so there are in my opinion too few plays to really justify having more then 3 lines. For the plays that go to 4+ you have a chance to recoup some of the earlier losses because they are on the same line, instead of giving it a line of its own to clear.
Good luck, really wish I could run this system but I'll have to wait till next season, have to recoup what I lost with Wallco before I add anything else to my arsenal.Comment -

#770Thanks Pagodo and thelimit0310 for the responses. I found SBR at the beginning of the baseball season and started chasing and have now decided that I don't really enjoy the huge ups and downs of chasing. I am going to start small and labby this system the way you layed it out, limit. It seems like a lot less of a rollercoaster ride then the chases I was following.Comment
