    Yanks claim RHP Rasner off waivers from Nationals

    NEW YORK -- The New York Yankees claimed right-hander Darrell Rasner off waivers from the Washington Nationals on Saturday.

    Rasner was 0-1 with a 3.68 ERA in five appearances, including one start, for the Nationals after being called up from the minors on Sept. 6. He was 6-7 with a 3.59 ERA in 27 games for Double-A Harrisburg.

    To make room on the 40-man roster, the Yankees designated right-hander Jason Anderson for assignment. Anderson was 1-0 with a 7.94 ERA in three appearances for the Yankees last year, after going 4-1 with a 2.66 ERA in 55 games for Triple-A Columbus.

    I know the Yankees are going to be my weakness. Dimaggio,Ruth,Gehrig,
    Mantle,Jeter,Rodriguez,Rivera some teams have never had one player like them

    Yankees will go nowhere in the playoffs. (overrated elder pitching will fail them)

    I'd put my money on the White Sox. too much pitching, improved hitting and confidence.

    although I know it's an extreme long shot..I wouldn't be surprised if the Yankees finish 3rd in their division this year. I really think their pitching is going to give them problems.(again)

    They're my team too. : ) last year I went to Vegas and won a ton on them. Like you though probably won't bet so much on them this year. Although I think betting on them to win the central is money in the bank. better than a mutual fund or any c.d!

    ...not that i'd ever put much into futures but just saying

    They should win, but I would never lay juice on a futures bet. Line is -112 at Pinnacle to win the central.

    I expect them to win 105 games and lose 57. I will include them in

    im, even if the Yankees win 100 games they will be a net loser with the high lines the books put out. Your real money makers will be teams like Kansas City, Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh...ect.
