Need any more evidence why the MLB system manual says to stop
betting in September? Pittsburgh yesterday proved it once again!

For today, the system has unofficial [A] wagers on the Chicago
White Sox, Florida, and Houston. Remember, we are now in
September, and the risk factor is greatly increased in all your
wagers, so be careful and tread very carefully! The MLB system
manual states that you shouldn't bet on games starting in September.

Yes, because you only need to win one. In situations like these, I would prefer taking the better team and thinking they will not be swept, rather than taking the team that has already been swept and hoping it doesn't happen again, especially if the team we are supposed to play has no chance for post season, such as two of the plays tonight. I have been playing these JM plays all season at -1 1/2 on Favs and M/L on dogs. Many of the series throughout the year, and mostly all of the recent ones, I have been fading instead. For some reason, I have been lucky and guessed right the majority of the time, I did get Pittsburgh wrong this week. I have a few extra losses because of the +money bets, but overall, betting JM this way, I am +28 units for the season. I was keeping track earlier of how I would have been doing had I played it the traditional way, but I lost track of that. I do know I was ahead of JM traditional though. I played all v1, official and unofficial, fading some and playing many on the team we were supposed to. Only 2 or 3 times did I play a v3, when it was very strong. I know it is not the standard way of doing it, but I am not much for high juice baseball wagers and it has worked well for me this season. At least something did. But anyway, I am fading these three, M/L on dog, and R/L on fav. Good luck.

Phi and Atl are Pre V3 bets for me. Except for Pre-V3 bets, I've never faded JM, but I agree that September is the time to do it. Does anyone know if any of JM's system picks in Sep have swept their opponents? I've been tracking sweeps this season and there is an average of 3 sweeps in every round of 15 series. It will only take one of JM's teams to be one of the sweepers in the next 2 weeks to spoil the party. Be careful out there, guys and you, Ghislaine.

I usually work in the afternoons and evenings, so I do stay up a lot for football and baseball games.

This year I actually dropped JM in favour of Wallco and went out up money, +31 units; I haven't played all series (with only a few v2) and I used a four-strike labby. I know that you don't apply that strategy yourself, Wallco, but this season it managed to pay off. Nevertheless, I would also like to thank you for your persistence and patience and that you held up to your promise and kept posting the plays til the end.

Notes: This HOU/PHI series is reminding me of shades from last year when Houston went into Philly and swept them in the second half of the season. At least Philly has Doc on the hump today but Norris is no slouch. Should be interesting. Next season I will break out the V2 plays between official and unofficial. Morrison does not state in his rules between the two so I've been scoring every V2 either way but I know a lot of these losses are coming late in the season. I just know one thing is that the V2 system is nowhere near as sound as it should be and could be very costly if you followed it to a tee. GL all today.
