I don't know how well of a capper he was in the past, but someone who is constantly coming out with "MONSTER PLAYS", regular betting 60+ units a day is not playing with their own money. When I came to this site I had a short list of people to look at prior to solidifying my own plays. Who was on the list? Paco, TodaysAction, Mr. Windy City, therber2, pimike, WISEGRUMPY. He was also the first to go. Who wants to tail someone playing with monopoly money? Seems like a huge fallacy.

What to watch for in a monopoly bettor:

Their bets start out as a unit...

When they start to lose to hide the losses the bets grow to 5-10 units...

Once they are really trying to hide losses they hit the 25 to skies the limit units(or the unit amounts strangely disappear)...at that point you are dealing with a ...monopoly bettor...

People didn't really rip on him for his picks. They ripped on him for his money management. There would still be a ton of people who ripped on him even if he won some of those big plays. I think he is a winning handicapper so I'm not sure why he went about it the way that he did. I just don't think you can go around putting 50+ units on certain games and expect people to take you seriously.

IF THEY had a problem, why did they continue to read his Thread and Bash. Why not just ignore it and leave it for those of us that enjoyed the thread.

think his big unit bets were for the only reason 1 unit were based on $100 not the %, that and the fact he is a poker player i think, so that explains that... I didn't follow his plays, my style is betting every game to win the same and to bet on few games. So when someone bets 50u on a parlay that should raise a flag not to follow, just my 2 cents... but I liked the chicks on the thread

Grumpy was one of the best.. I tailed him a few times.. Some ppl are just haters. Who cares what ppl are betting on, some ppl bet for money, some bet for time. I have bet a few times if so and so team wins, the loser has to take my hospital call on so and so day... So i was betting my time. Some ppl bet points. Some ppl can bet 60 units, can i am bet 60 units. Heck no, i rather put my money elsewhere. In Sports there is no sure shot. That is my 2 cents for today. And Grumpy you dont need to reply to the negative comments. i don't think it matters what anyone bets with (real money or not) he could use ctc money if he wants (canadians know what that is) the point is that he took the time to research the teams and post his thoughts here for anyone to use as reference or to discard them as crap.
You all had a choice. If you think anyone here is betting real money based on someone else's ideas........then i have swampland in florida for you.
Should have taken his picks with a grain of salt and be thankful that he took the time to share.
When his picks matched my own then i would move on them and only then...
So show some class and either stfu or dont read the threads.

Wise didn't leave due to haters, he left due to the fact that he said he's starting new projects and will be busy. I look into his thread to see what his plays were, at first it was pretty good then went on a losing streak, wiped out his win/loss and started a new thread, I can understand why, but wiping out your win/loss to start fresh is a no no!!!! then the monster plays started to be more and more, was he forcing it? I say yes, then the unit size was getting bigger and bigger on the monster, grumpy what ever he called it. then parlay's came into play. that's really getting desperate true cappers know that parlay's, reverse's, teaser's, etc... are sucker bets!!!!!!!! that's when I stop bothering going into his thread anymore. it was getting to the point that, all his bets were monster!!!!! I'm not hating on WG, but it was just getting out of hand what he was betting on these games...

I followed Grumpy for the pictures and good conversation...it'd be a shame to see Vegas Gold have the same thing happen to him. They pick someone like WG. If that person goes on a tailspin, then they have a scapegoat(in their mind) to blame for all their problems. Since they are faceless people on the internet, they can be as nasty as they want to be because what are the chances they will ever meet that person. If that person was right in front of them, they would never say 1% of the things they say on the internet.

Sad really but that is the world we are in. Instead of looking in the mirror and saying "why did I follow this pick blindly", they can deflect the root of the problem to someone else. It is too bad b/c from all accounts that I saw, he was a good guy.

I agree with what you said, and believe that the majority of haters on here are squares that follow blindly...Here's the reality, nobody is forcing you to wager on anything, if WG was losing at such a high rate, why not fade him for a while? It's stupid that a decent guy got chased off because people can't decide for themselves whether or not to make a play. It happens to the best cappers on here as well e.g. Paco, Vegas Gold. Every time a play doesn't hit or they hit a rough stretch (which normally doesn't last long) the haters come out of the woodwork to bash the picks and cappers...really it's just sad. You gotta be like ME. Im the best role model here. I go big once in a while when i feel real good about a play but i exhibit some of the best money management on the site and i post all my lines ( not fake lines). I keep track of my record 100% honest and update it when i win or lose and keep it updated and dont stop my thread and start a new one if i go on a losing streak. I know my responsibilities on this site and to myself to be honest and i keep them. I dont care if you follow me or not but if you want advice im here to help anyone who wants it. I answer every pm i get ( maybe take longer sometimes) and i give my opinion and put myself out there and thats why when i lose a play VERY FEW say nothing to bash me in that said thread because they respect my posts and insight. I tell like it is. Thats how a veteran gambler is supposed to help the folks getting started in this business.

Got this emailed to me from 8 different members.
First of all it's nice to read messages calling for my return. As someone mentioned here the reason I "left" at first were my projects which I have every year from the Summer until new year's, then when I wanted to drop by the BS became HUGE and the things I read in my thread and paco's thread were beyond idiotic so I decided it's time to stay away for now.
The fact people actually think I would take my time to post here everyday when I don't bet for real is simply pathetic, but those people are their own issues so I don't really care. Anyway the success I had here in such a short time and the success I have in my line of work as a gambler is huge and I'm happy I could help a lot of people. I might come back for the real deal when it comes to me and that is NBA and maybe I will post my plays for the MLB post season.

Until then thank you for the kind comments, and those that keep acting like morons, sadly none of us can change who you are.
