Who can stop the Yankees from winning the world series this year

Batting lineup is stacked and starting pitching is what they have been searching for for many years, Yankees should be confident of at least a world series final place this year.

They have a chance as long as they don't play the Astros

Al Central won't. Al West - not seeing the Astros this year. Angels not enough pitching. Texas not yet. That leaves - Tampa and Toronto. That's it! I would say Baltimore and Boston if you think their pitching is good enough. Baltiimore better pitching than Boston IMO.

The Yankees will stop the Yankees from winning the World Series. They won’t even win their division.

    _

Offense is not stacked. Pitching is spurious.
    Yankees will stop themselves.

Boone has to get fired. He leaves pitchers in for way to long that are getting rocked. That’s why they lost against the Marlins and now tonight with Schmidt? He needs to go.

He’s a terrible manager. He’s actually just a wise ass know it all who knows shit. He sat on TV and talked himself into the job. The Yankees are a shell of the organization they once were. The old man is turning over in his grave. He’d never allow this kind of crap.

Yankees 1 hit today. I’m watching this team closely as I think it’s time for a complete overhaul. Total disaster signing part time player Judge to all that money with so many needs.

Goes without saying but yes, he is a shit show. Another part timer. Marlins fleeced them. I’d outright cut him and pay him to stay away. Liability in the lineup. I could get a younger guy to bat over .203. Hell, you and I could platoon and probably step into a few pitches and have a higher on base percentage than him.

If they get swept by Boston, perfect time to let Boone go. I’m done with him and the same shit he says every day when they lose. Never see him yelling at players in the dugout. They all just joke and laugh. Plus he’s awful with in-game decision making. He needs to go. Now.

The only .280 hitter in the line up is Judge.
From Stanton down that line up is garbage.

Steinbrenner Jr seems happy enough selling out the stadium and making a profit rather than fielding a winning team.

Cashman needs to go too, a new set of eyes needs to oversee the operation after 20+ years.

Boone stinks too but I blame ownership and Cashman more than him for the current state of the franchise.

Also watched something the other day with an Ex Yankee farmhand talking about all the Yankees do with hitters now is time exit velocity....no fundamentals or anything else. Seems like they should go back to the way they used to do things and reverse course on being all in on analytics.

Exit evlo is a stupid stat JP, I agree.

A ball hit over the fence at 80 mph and a ball hit over the fence at 100 mph still count the same.
    They're both homeruns

The game is so simple yet people still don't get it.

You need to get on base in order to score a run.
Runs scored are a good thing.

Yankees can't get on base, they need more hitters like DJ, and it looks like DJ is in his twilight years.
DJ used to be an on base machine, now he's just another veteran.
