Judge is the only guy that would be in the lineup on some of the Yankee teams from 20-25 years ago. They used to have tough at bats and high OBP guys up and down the lineup. Guys like Bernie Williams, Tino Martinez and Paul O'Neil come to mind.

You have to make the playoffs first before they stop you from winning the world series.

Hank needs to burn the mother down.

Junior ain't going to sell his team, it's a cash cow, he does need to like I said burn it down.

    At the moment it is.

Problem is the Yankees have curbed their spending for awhile and look at the current lineup they are trotting out there....embarrassing.

Yankee fans won't stand for it if this is the type of team they will be fielding and Steiner Jr is just happy socking away profits.

The Yankees fate had pretty much been sealed before that series, but the sweep is rubbing some serious salt into the wound. It'll be interesting to see how the NYY respond. We could easily see them going on a spending spree and buying their way into contention, or also go cheap and count the $

Yankees have nothing on the farm, they have to spend, their farm system is ranked 22nd

Stanton just rang up on 3 straight fastballs in the same spot. Watched 2 and swung through the 3rd. Amazing. He’s awful.

No because the playoffs haven't started. You are assuming that they will play the playoffs. I'm guessing you don't have any idea how sharp Cashman is. He has a plan to stop that.

Trashman probably gets ownership of the team in the offseason.

Fans still think it is the old days but the fact is that very few of these soft athletes nowadays want to play under the microscope in NY.

The fans still think they are going to get every major free agent to go there but very few if any do...this goes for all sports.

Spot on. They do not want accountability or even to be challenged. Coaches either. They all talk a bunch of shit but really they only care about getting paid. Coaches fail forward. Players get paid for losing. Just give me my money and with these TV deals they will get the money damn near anywhere.

New York is still a major city with lots of opportunities, but it is also very expensive and stressful to live in. Think, it may not be for all athletes.

The only thing the NYY lead the league in is attendance.
PT Barnum said it, "There's a sucker born every minute"
People actually pay 400 bucks for a seat down low at the Big Ball Orchard in the South Bronx.
