Johan owns the Dodgers and Padilla has been pitching brilliantly lately. I've said for a long time without Manny this line up is nowhere near as potent. Raffy is better from the left side, Either will get torn up, Kemp hasn't been that great lately, Blake belongs in the 7th spot not clean up, Loney is only a .235 hitter against lefties, Martin can't hit, Dewitt is a lefty, and Carrol if he hits the ball it doesnt get out of the infield. Man this can really be a 1-0 ball game. My only concern is Padilla but he has great career numbers against the Mets and their offense has been struggling just as much as the Dodgers. If both of them have break out games so be it but I doubt it happens today folks. Good luck to all on the rest of their action tonight.

I didn't end up playing anything but the reason i am playing so strongly today is because last night ended up playing out pretty close to as i expected. I knew Kuroda was going to deal.

Honestly Mets. I don't know how Padilla can out pitch Johan. And are bully just isnt the same as it used to be so they have no real advantage besides home field. Tough call. Should be a very close pitchers duel.

Should be 1-0 Mets. 2 dropped balls 1 by dewitt and one by the Met catcher have allowed the other runs to score.

what up D. leaning pads tomorrow. dodgers not so great after one day rest, pads hitting well, garland is better at petco, dodgers pitching have been showing up, but not their bats. im looking into it a little more but looks good to me so far.

Whats up absolute. I really would like to take the under tomorrow but both Billingsly and Garland and to hit and miss. Garland is regressing back to the mean just like most of those SD pitchers should start doing this time of the year. You heard it here first the Padres will not win the West. In August those young arms will start wearing down. Not saying the Dodgers are going to win but the Padres won't.
Anyways back to the game tomorrow. Billingsly has been getting into a nice little groove lately and has done better on the road this year (for whatever reason). He has pitched well against SD this year and in the past. I know the Dodgers have been coming out flat off a days rest and haven't been hitting well lately but i expect them to get it done tomorrow. Those wins against the Mets though may not have been flashy were very important for a number or reasons. The most important being confidence building. I think the offense will come out with something to prove tomorrow and though they may not score 19 runs they should get 4 or 5 which should be plenty for Chad. I see Chaddy going 7 and giving up 1 or 2. Though I really want to take the under i don't think 6.5 is a good number. I would probably have played 7 but not that.

yeah well, they gotta win 2 out of 3 in this series because they go up to frisco for the weekend series and they are already 6 back so these next 2 series are crucial. you hear anything on the trade rumors?

Remember the Dodgers own the NL West. I like the recent additions to the pen and I think (hope) the have a temporary fix.

no prob. always appreciate your insight. yeah i read somewhere that philly, stl and dodgers were the only teams talking to oswalt. not that i want him. he is older and expensive. kinda wanted to get a guy like haren, but no way they woulda traded in the division like that. ive also noticed torre experimenting with a lot of new pitchers lately. could be interesting what he has in mind.

I really like that Xavier Paul is stepping up lately. He just might be the spark they need in that offense right now. Remember they struggle with lefties and Garland is just your average righty.

Very true! They're 24-8 against the West. In fact, no team in MLB this year has had a greater success than the Dodgers in beating their own division rivals. 75% of a division... that's total domination!!!

Yeah, in the two games that Garland had against LA this year, back in May, he gave up 6 earned runs in 11 innings pitched, so that's like what, a 4.91 ERA or so. I don't think LA will have a problem hitting him.

No crazy line movement. I like Billingsly in this spot. I wouldn't touch under 6.5 with a 10 foot pole with Garland on the hill. Then again Dodgers can't hit coming off a days rest so we will see.
