As a guy from Seattle, I've been rooting for the Giants and made nice money off them in these playoffs. If it weren't for my Texas series bet I'd be rooting for them again here.
MT I've played against and faced Timmy in high school. No one will probably believe me but I actually got a single off him one time (struck out almost every other time

).
In 2002 (our junior yr) we played @ Liberty (Timmy's HS) and we actually won the game 3-1. Pretty cool to be able to tell that story now. Thought you might get a kick outta that MT

Paco I would buy out of my series bet if I were you. On top of that you can get texas +150 now for the series. Your hate for the giants is gonna cost u a shitload of coin, you have bet against them nonstop in the playoffs. Take my advice or laugh at it but after tonight you might regret it.

I hear ya. i dont have anything on it because i'm always on the losing side. Ill be glad when it is finally over so i can just stick to basketball.

His ball always had a lot of action on it. He would throw his fastball 90-92 but it seemed like it was faster than that. He mostly stuck to fastball and curve back then, but his curve was more of a slider/cutter. It was nasty- you'd start swinging at it like it was a fastball and then it would break hard on you at the last second. Our team beat him that one game during the regular season but he came back and got us in the playoffs and they went on to win the state championship.

I think everyone is kidding themselves about jumping off the Rangers. Its unfortunate to lose game 1, especially with C.Lee, but it is what it is. One game of 7. The Rangers have to win games besides the ones Lee pitches to win the series. Cliff didn't have his stuff last night, period. He knew it early on. But its not like the Giants beat them 11-0. It was 11-7. Truth is, as bad as Lee was, the Giants should have scored 20, and the Rangers were unlucky not to have scored 5-6 more themselves. This is the only game this postseason that the Giants have scored many runs....that same thing can't be said about Texas. They're averaging about 7 runs/game. To think C.Lee was going to win 3 WS games this year was kidding yourself. It wasn't going to happen. But I have a feeling the Giants will see a different pitcher when they face him next time. The reality of it is....you hope to come back to Texas with a split, CJ wins tonight and that's exactly what you have. Texas has proven they will usually score a bunch of runs regardless of who's pitching.....I don't think the Giants can make that same claim. I think SF had their best night against a guy who was bound to come back to earth. I have serious doubts they don't come back down themselves soon.

I. personally, am not ready to surrender just yet. I'd think about it for awhile before abandoning ship. MidgetTosserOffer can say all he wants about this being the Giants destiny. The truth is the Rangers deserve a title as much or more than anyone. And this isn't about destiny, its about who is the better team at the time...and my $ says that's Texas. We shall see......

opie no one is saying the series is over but game 1 was a must for rangers fan you know that and I know that. Texas was riding on Lee momentum and it got killed last night. Regardless of the outcome last night I would tell you giants win game 2. Cain is way to tough. So more than likely they will be down 2 nothing going back to Texas. no way would I feel comfortable with everything riding on the back end of their rotation.

I seem to remember Game 1 of the ALCS was also a must win for the Rangers. Another fun fact....do you know that NO team in ALDS history had won 3 road games prior to Texas doing it in Tampa? People act like Lee was the only pitcher who won any games for Texas this year. He wasn't. Its not like the Giants don't consider Lincecum their ace. He got hit pretty hard last night as well. All WS games are must-win's.

Im glad there are people like u who believes in texas still. I want a better price tonight. Keep running vladdy out in right field too while your at it. That was some funny ass shit.
