i like phils RL and the tigers +1.5. hard to go against yanks every time. as long you dont take boston im happy and have a chance with my play.

well, bugger paying monthly for a separate sim for the ipad anyway...

heres what you do: jailbreak iphone, install mywifi, tether iphone to ipad, no need for separate sim/fees and use your unlimited iphone plan for all your ipad stuff.

downside: kills your iphone battery...

still a good solution though.

Can you jailbreak the 3g still? I upgraded my phone to the 4.0 software and now my phone is fvcked, slow as hell lagging like crazy. I tried to downgrade back to 3.0 software but fvcked it up

dunno about 3g, but 3gs for sure. I just did it a few weeks ago. can't believe i waited so long.

i had the same problem as you and gave up, because it was going to be a complete pain.

apple do some crap where when you upgrade to 4.0, it makes it impossible to go back... also something about the old 3gs and new 3gs... (old one is a lot easier to hack). something about saving SHSH blobs (whatever they are). anyway, i'm no nerd, so a lot of the crap on the forums was indecipherable to me...

BUT apparently some new law or something was passed that lets hackers have it easier now, which in turn made things a lot easier for me. you can now do it ALL at www.jailbreakme.com. go there from your iphone... slide and it does it all for you! within a few hours, i was getting everything u can get out of a jailbroken phone

... considering i dont know that much about computer stuff, it was very, very easy to do.

disclaimer: apparently iphones and jailbreaking has caused plenty of problems for people in the past if you're using the wrong stuff, so do some research first before blindly trying to jailbreak. i think its a lot easier with the new jailbreakme.com though.

Yeah, this works great. I've been using this setup since I got my wifi iPad at launch. The newest mywifi let's you adjust the wifi power output, so it really helps big time with battery life. Definitely highly recommended. I would never pay 2 data plans per month, that just gets crazy.
