Unbelievable. First the Phillies make Wandy Rodriguez look like a Cy Young candidate, and now the Padres are making Ian Kennedy look like one, both at home. It sucks that such a weird night had to happen on a night when we had the two opposing teams for so much.
Added to that, Cliff Lee's getting hit hard at home, and Ricky Romero got hit around the yard. Weird, weird night.Comment -

That's just how things go sometimes. When it rains it pours. I swear, this can be very frustrating at times. I know TA's plays are his own and are successful, and I follow them, but I always tell myself NEVER GO AGAINST A STREAK, and what do I do? I play on STL and PHI knowing dammmm well they are struggling to score and at those inflated prices that the books are putting on them knowing that public perception is that they NEED to win games to keep in the hunt so many think they will win because they are due.
I'm not knocking TA, it's just that sometimes I would just wish I would think for myself and follow my gut and not follow someone else. It's just hard sometimes cuz you know both teams can put up big innings at any given time, but when teams score 2 or fewer runs in consecutive games like the Phils have, it's hard to bet on them.
Sorry for my rambling, I've just had a few bad luck days lately.

It happens about 5 to 7 times a season, just roll with it and chalk it up to one of the seven.

No disrespect by that TA. I don't agree with JR and the stuff he has been saying. I don't tail you 100%, but I definitely keep your picks in mind when making my own, and will make it a point to not go against you, if that says anything. I have only been on this forum a few weeks and I have a sense of who is the real deal and who is not. Not everyone can win all the time, and you are still head and shoulders above the others. Top 3, still. It is just my opinion that you took some bad loses that should have gone your way and tried to push hard to get it back. You seem absolute class, and everyone is prone to certain things. You aren't a robot. You know above all else how your system works, but MY OPINION is some plays were forced more than they would normally have been.
I spend time capping and while I am still learning, I don't know if STL, Philly, SD or CHW in the position they were in (particularly STL and PHI) would have been money bags given the way they have been playing. SD/CHW were given 10 units, SD fell behind early and the CHW play was re-tapped to 20 units. Would you have done that otherwise? Only you know that, like I said, I am new around here.
I think the bottom line is don't let these degenerates get to you. No one is immune to pressure. I think it is clear you are top 3 around, despite the "hard times", who cares what I say about chalk or chasing. I still won't be fading you, that is for sure.Comment -

yeah the funest (if thats a word;better grammer should be most fun) thing about this particular situation was that i sprinkled a little on the ml @+310 and it hit.. i've seen alot of 330 favs go down into dust in my years gamblin and i thought this could be a chance to hit one.. way hip... feelin good after that one..

None taken. The line between winning and losing is extremely narrow. The players, coaches and managers are not robots and as such don't always hit their quota that I need for us to have winners. If/when one or two don't deliver, depending upon which team, it could become a large problem. How I do things is far from perfect, but it gets the job done (if one isn't short-sighted and looks at the whole season). I know I've stated this in other season season threads of ours and pretty certain I did it here as well, but on the chance I didn't, each `capper needs to find a way that works best for them and to never let one person put 'you' on or off a selection. Thank you but to me it's never been about being top three/five/ten/etc, it's always been and will always be about winning and making money - others can have a higher win rate (congrats to those who do), or win more units/money (again, congrats to those who do) for this is not about player verses player; it's punter verses their out(s).
Yes, a re-tap was planned for the CWS game. I feel I have a very good read on whom was tossing yesterday and got wind some services were backing/pushing BALT in various forms and was waiting for a line that was close to the original action (or lower). Sometimes I mention a re-tap looms, others not - that game was a not.
I don't let people like you mention, get to me but I don't won't the thread cluttered with that/their type of post. Inside the thread, we keep it positive. If somebody has an issue with the thread and wants to be negative, it's their right but post/take it out of the thread so those who are looking for certain posts can find what they're are after. Continued success to you ttm and hope this explains things better/clearer for you.
