Don't look now but the Detroit Tigers are 78-73 and only 1.5 games back of the final wild card spot in the AL. They have a tough series at KC which they took Game 1 last night then head to Baltimore for a 3 game set this weekend.

If they can hold position through that, they close with the Rays and lowly White Sox at home.
