#47Doubledime looking forward to your plays. Didn't get to tail last year but was very impressed with what you did. Just curious, how long have you been capping bases and have you had prior success or was last year a breakout year. Again thanks for your work and I'm looking forward to the plays!Comment -

#54Hey DD, are you going to make a separate post for each day and night set of regular plays or day and night regular plays combined in one post? ThanksComment -

#56Good morning,
Thursday's Reliever Plays:
Atl/Mets over 8
Seat/Hous over 8.5
Good luck
I have cut and pasted my post from last year explaining the Reliever Plays for those who are not familiar with them:
All my years handicapping I have always tried to find an edge that bookmakers have missed. For example, in baseball the starting pitcher used to be a greater factor in determining the line than it is now. Of course, "back in the day", starters would go 8 or 9 innings, now they're lucky to go 6 innings. So as the years went on, I would start to figure the bullpen stats more and more into my handicapping. I still feel to this day, the bookmakers make their line based mostly on the starters, which brings me to my point. Though I look at many different factors in determining a total, I have seen a trend this year based on relievers. I look at the last 3 days and see how rested the middle relievers and closers are. When I see they are not rested and look at no other factors, over 58% of the games have gone over so far this year. I wish I had just given out just those games, but when I factor in other data, it has taken me off many of those games.
Therefore, JUST FOR TRACKING PURPOSES, I will give out the games that are based solely on the relievers.
THESE ARE NOT OFFICIAL PLAYS!!!! I am not sure this trend will continue but I think it's worth listing. If it starts going south I will stop posting them. I am only going to calculate win/loss not units. Too much time to do that.
Of course some of these will also be my "official" plays.Comment -

2) Oh, come on, Double-D, enough with the "just for tracking purposes" bullshiz, grow a pair!If you are posting them (and playing them, which I'm guessing you are), they are PLAYS. We good here?

I just cut and pasted what I wrote last year. I play all my plays, but I have learned over the years that money management is as important as winning, so I just want followers to take that into consideration. Yes, I would much rather error on the side of conservative play.
One more thing........ sometimes it's not easy posting a play that qualifies for a Reliever Play but has other factors leaning to the other side. I have to just block those factors out with the Reliever Plays.Comment -

I want to get back in the green first, took a few punches to the face in these first few days.

thanks again for all your hard workRemember money management is very important. We will have ups and downs throughout the season so most players recommend playing 2-3% of their bankroll per play. That way if you go 1-4 on any given day, it's not the end of the world.
