I try and not be speculative with betting, it's fun, but that's not how you make money. I wait and look for good deals. Waino and the Cards up to -130 is that. I would just say be careful with your thinking of being up for the season and taking a shot. I understand it, but have fooled my brain to think it's all one big season. I've become a defensive gambler though, Karate will be happy if you do. I typically fire from 1-3 units, but my unit $ is much higher than yours. Maybe match your highest bet of the season. GL.

Looks like early money hit Boston, but the line bounced right back in StL's favor. SBRodds shows Pinny and 5Dimes opening at Cards +115 -- that can't be right.

They "hit bottom" at -113 or so. Could've gotten a better #, but oh well.

Hello OP....new member here. Just saw you were up over 100 units with a losing record. I didnt go back through the entire thread, but was it a few big parlay hits? Or was it lots of dogs?

Also, does Landers start threads? Or post his picks in other peoples threads? Everyone says what a great fade he is, but i dont know where to find his picks!

Dogs. No parlays. Only one hit over 10U in the thread (only two plays over 10U in the thread IIRC).

Not as often as he used to, but if he does have a big play, he'll typically tell the world about it.

Question for the thread... if you're betting on an individual game, are you also betting that team for the series? Series props are just vegas's game probabilities put together, so if you feel you have a big edge in a game (a small edge will probably get eaten in the extra series prop's juice), wouldn't you also have an edge in the series prop? +EV game bet means there is a +EV series bet out there. You somewhat raise your exposure level, but +EV bets are +EV bets and should be wagered on every time.

Typically I would agree, but I don't have much faith in Wacha (believe it or not) to close it out in Game 6. I personally believe this one's going 7 with the Cards winning tonight and the Sox winning on Wednesday. I just don't see an edge in betting the series at this point -- I'm still of the belief it's a complete toss-up.
