Multiple MLB Chase Systems (+250 units in 2012)

Do any of your systems have injury filters? Just curious because Milwaukee's 3-4-5 hitters are all out (Ramirez and Hart on DL, and reports around town last night are that Braun is VERY doubtful for today). We are trotting out Alex Gonzolez and Yuniesky Betancourt at the corners, which is downright pathetic.

in all honesty, if I were the brewers manager today, I would seriously consider batting Gallaro like 6th.

Unfortunately, I think chase systems turn sports betting into mathematically advantageous situations and don't factor in injuries...sometimes the capper will be nice enough to alert his tailers as to the presence of an injury that may affect a series, but it is certainly not their responsibility.

I think it's up to each person to decide whether they want to continue with the chase or not. You would hope after losing 4 in a row, Gallardo would come out with his best stuff to try and help the Brewers out of this slump, even despite the injuries.

Actually they played the Braves, and we hit the over yesterday (we came from behind in dramatic fashion!), so their chase was already cleared. We got a bad beat with the Brewers-come from behind to force extra innings only to have Axford lose it for them yet again. Hopefully they'll fare a little better tomorrow.

Side note, Cubs hit the over in game 5 (4/6/2013) while PIT hit the over in game 6 (4/7/2013). For the under chase, BAL hit the under on game 6 (4/7/2013). To summarize, if we would have done a 6 game chase, both the Over and Under would have gone 30-0 but there's no way I would chase 6 games, it's something to note for anyone that was curious though.

Hopefully Braun returns to the lineup today for the Brewers to give them a boost and hopefully spoil the Cubbies home opener. I know that chases are not designed to take injuries into consideration but in the case of this Milwaukee series they have been playing without their 3-4-5 hitters. The good news is that Braun was in the on-deck circle in the 11th inning against the D-backs yesterday. Hopefully he plays today and it fuels them to bring this series home for us.

good to see him in the lineup today, but that was strictly a decoy yesterday. They were out of position players, and he was on deck for the sole purpose of making sure they didn't pitch around Weeks ( not that it mattered)

As I'm sure other people in this thread are doing, I am also tailing Stifler's thread. Stifler has an A bet on the Cubs today. Due to my uncertainty and hesitancy in the Brewers for today, I decided to bet enough on the Cubs ML to cut what my overall loss on the Milwaukee series would have been in half. So, essentially, assuming the Brewers hold on, I've transferred a 7-unit loss to the B bet of Stifler's series. Shame on me for not trusting in the system.

Well, I did play both sides...

I bet the normal amount on TDK's Brewers bet
I bet half of what I stood to lose on the whole series on the Chicago A bet
Thus, I effectively transferred 1/2 of my potential loss to the B bet of the Chicago series.

I just wasn't "man enough" to place the bets regularly, and now I will just have to make up 7 units on the Stifler Chicago series.

lol no need to apologize man, I'm just here to answer questions and post plays, what people decide to do with it is entirely up to them. After all, it is your money!

Since we're talking about when chases conflict or overlap, here's my two cents and what I do:

In this case where we have a game 4 for one chase and a game 1 for the other, I would either play the game 4 in hopes of hitting it and skipping game 1 OR I would play both. However, usually I would play both chases.

Time sure is going by slowly, wish this game would end already! 4 more innings...

Thanks for the advice, TDK. Can't thank you enough for the work I'm sure you've put into this.

We've all been victim to our emotions and I hate it when it affects my betting. Can't even tell you how many times a Wallco NHL went to a C bet(it was a 3-bet system) and we had over 30units on the line and ALWAYS came out on top.

Gotta have faith, bottom line.

P.S. Scoreboard watching for baseball is the absolute WORST. I have no patience for it lol

That's why I use the BetBud app, which updates me whenever there is a score change(and keeps track of all of my bets, statistics, etc). I forget who on here mentioned it but by far it is the best $3 I have ever spent.
