💰 Best World Cup semifinal prediction

England 5+ shots on target (+130) vs. Argentina

England has been one of the most aggressive offensive teams at this World Cup, putting at least five shots on target in five of its six games. Even when playing a man down for over 35 minutes against Mexico, England still managed to hit this threshold.

Argentina allowed just one shot on goal in each of its group stage matches but has allowed five shots on target in two of its knockout stage games. England currently has 39 attempts on target, an average of 6.5 per game, despite only three shots on net against Ghana.

💵 SBR Edge: Kane and Bellingham have been unstoppable

Both Kane and Jude Bellingham have scored six goals for England at this World Cup. But even when one player takes the spotlight for a game, the other is still active. Kane has multiple shots on goal in three of his last four games, while Bellingham has at least two shots on target in three consecutive matches. The two have combined for 14 shots on net in three knockout stage games.

🔥 More World Cup predictions for the semifinals

France Under 4.5 corners (+100) vs. Spain

France has earned at least five corners in five of six World Cup matches. However, two of those games saw France finish with five, and the French have only managed more than six corners in two games.

Meanwhile, Spain has been excellent at preventing corners at this tournament. The Spanish have allowed just seven corners in six games, and only Portugal managed to earn more than one against them. Still, Portugal earned only three corners.

Additionally, these two teams have met in semifinals in each of the last two years. When France fell behind Spain 4-0, the French still ended with only six corners. And in 2024, France played more than 60 minutes down a goal and also finished with six corners. In a game that I think will be played at a slow, tactical pace for at least the first half, I love this Under for +100.

England in regulation (+160) vs. Argentina

Argentina once again struggled with an inferior opponent before ultimately finding a way to win. However, after needing extra time against Cape Verde and Switzerland, and a miraculous comeback against Egypt, I think the defending champions are finally going to meet their demise.

Ultimately, I don't believe in Argentina's offense against England's defense. England allowed two goals in its first World Cup match, but since then, the only time an opponent scored multiple goals in a match was when Mexico netted a penalty kick while playing up a man.

England completely shut down Norway's attack, allowing just 0.68 expected goals. And while betting against Messi never seems smart, Bellingham is playing the best soccer of anyone taking the pitch on Wednesday. The English are much better than any team Argentina has faced to this point, and I think they'll get the job done in 90 minutes.
