Most of the major European action has wrapped up for the season with just a few key matches remaining, so it's time to shift all of our attention to the FIFA 2026 World Cup. We're digging deep on the chances for success for the USA Men's National Team, checking out the best USA World Cup odds and highlighting some markets to target.

The roster will be officially released on Tuesday at an event in New York City, although some of the info has already leaked. Can the hosts make a run and cash outright tickets at +6000, or should we dig into some other markets to find the best value?

📊 USA World Cup odds 2026

The best World Cup betting sites will offer plenty of markets, but here are some of the best from DraftKings; odds updated May 25 and subject to change:

Market USA Odds Probability Profit ($10 bet)
To win outright (Champion) +6000 1.64% $600
To reach final +1800 5.26% $180
To reach semi final  +850 10.53% $85
To reach quarter final  +275 26.67% $27.50
To reach last 16 +125 44.44% $12.50

Stage of elimination

In a similar vein you can bet where a team will be eliminated as opposed to how far they'll advance in the tournament.

Stage of elimination Odds Probability Profit ($10 bet)
Last 32 +170 37.04% $17
Last 16 +220 31.25% $22

Semi-finals +1200 7.69% $120
Runner-up +2800 3.45% $280

🏆 USA World Cup 2026 predictions and best bets

USA to reach last 16 (+125)

No. 16 USA drew into Group D, which isn't necessarily an easy draw as it is also home to No. 22 Turkey and No. 27 Australia. With that said, it would be shocking if the USA didn't emerge from one of the top two spots.

Finishing D1 or D2 would set up pretty fine-looking matchups in the Round of 32. A first-place finish would result in a matchup with the 3rd place finisher from B/E/F/I/J; a second-place finish would tee up a likely tilt with either Egypt or Iran (assuming Belgium finishes first in Group G).

It's impossible at this point to do a proper breakdown of the roster and how it will match up against particular opponents - there are so many scenarios.

But the new format means you don't necessarily need to be elite to get as deep as the Round of 16. The USA roster will be deep enough to get at least this far. A first-place finish in their Group, which is very likely, would set up an almost certain Round of 16 meeting with Belgium. I'm not interested in pushing my luck beyond that, so my favorite play for the USA, based on the latest World Cup odds, is to reach the last 16.
