I’m featuring four tasty picks in my Premier League best bets for Matchday 8. As is customary when the price isn’t too high, Erling Haaland makes an appearance.

He’s accompanied by Cole Palmer, Arsenal, and Liverpool, with the Reds and Gunners playing on their home patch. The Gunners have an easier task ahead, while Liverpool will have their work cut out for them against an electric Brighton side.

Premier League best bets: Matchweek 8

Here are my Premier League predictions for Matchweek 8 as part of our soccer picks this week.

Match Bet Odds
Aston Villa vs. Manchester City  Erling Haaland anytime goal  -118 via FanDuel
Arsenal vs. Everton  Arsenal ML & Under 4.5 goals -140 via BetMGM
Chelsea vs. Tottenham  Cole Palmer goal or assist  -120 via FanDuel
Liverpool vs. Brighton  Liverpool ML  +105 via BetMGM

Best Premier League bet: Erling Haaland anytime goal (-118 via BetMGM)

I have absolutely no idea how BetMGM is offering such palatable odds for  Haaland to score. FanDuel has him pegged at -135, and I’d play this bet down to -145. The Norwegian is lights out, and he’s fully fit after nursing a minor injury for the midweek Champions League match.

Haaland enters on a six-game scoring streak in the top flight, bagging eight. He scored four in the previous three away matches and has netted 12 goals in 10 games in all competitions.

This wager has a chink in its armour, though, as Haaland has struggled against Aston Villa, scoring only once in five meetings. That’s not nearly enough to deter, though.

Arsenal vs. Everton: Arsenal ML & Under 4.5 goals (-140 via BetMGM)

Arsenal have won each of their four home matches in all competitions, including three in the Premier League. The Gunners outscored opponents 10-2 in those matches.

And I strongly believe this is not a letdown spot for the Gunners, who won four of the previous five meetings with Everton at the Emirates. The exclusion was a 0-0 stalemate in 2024. Everton aren’t in the best form and have won one of their last six Premier League matches.

That came at home against an Ipswich team that finished the match with 10 men. Despite their home dominance, Arsenal haven’t scored more than three at the Emirates this season, and none of Everton’s matches have had more than four goals.

Chelsea vs. Tottenham: Cole Palmer goal or assist (-120 via FanDuel)

I also featured this pick in my Chelsea vs. Tottenham prediction. Palmer has enjoyed all sorts of joy against Spurs, scoring three and assisting two in five meetings.

And he’s been a menace at Stamford Bridge this season, scoring a goal and setting up two in three matches. Spurs have allowed 10 goals in seven games, while Chelsea lead the league in goals with 17.

Liverpool vs. Brighton: Liverpool ML (+105 via BetMGM)

Despite dealing with a rash of injuries, I expect Liverpool to secure all three points against a high-flying Brighton side.

Brighton sit third, four points ahead of fifth-place Liverpool. However, the Seagulls lost one of their three away games, with the two road victories coming against Sunderland and Coventry, two of the bottom four teams.

Liverpool at Anfield provides a stiff challenge, one I believe the in-form Reds will come through.

Liverpool lost to Man City two weeks ago, their only loss in 12 matches in all competitions. They’ve won five of the previous six.
