Neither team is flying in for today’s rivalry match at Old Trafford (12:30 p.m. ET, NBC), which factored into my three best picks below for my Manchester United vs. Tottenham prediction.

Tottenham are languishing in the relegation zone, while Manchester United sit mid-table. Manchester United are the betting favorite, which is unsurprising given Tottenham’s abject form.

I also feature Bryan Mbeumo, who will be looking to continue his hot streak against Spurs.

Manchester United vs. Tottenham best bet

Check out all of our soccer betting analysis and expert predictions this season.

Bryan Mbeumo anytime goal (+175 via FanDuel)

Mbeumo scored in two of five Premier League matches thus far, but he hasn’t bagged one in two games. He scored against an Ipswich team that has conceded the most goals (tied with Sunderland) and an Everton defense that has conceded the fewest (tied with three other teams).

While those stats are enough to back Mbeumo, I’m more drawn to his exemplary goal-scoring record against Tottenham, against whom he has scored six times in the previous six meetings.

🆚 Who will win Manchester United vs Tottenham?

I’m backing a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford, given Tottenham’s recent form against Manchester United and both teams’ inconsistent play before the international break.

Score prediction: Manchester United 1, Tottenham 1

More Manchester United vs. Tottenham expert picks

Draw (+310 via FanDuel)

Tottenham tied two of their previous three Premier League matches, both 0-0 stalemates against Nottingham Forest and Everton.

Manchester United have also drawn two of their last three, tying Everton 2-2 and Fulham 1-1. And I’m also giving Tottenham the benefit of the doubt based on their recent success against the Red Devils.

Spurs have lost once in the previous nine meetings with Manchester United in all competitions, three of which ended in a tie.

Under 2.5 goals (+164 via FanDuel)

I’m going out on a limb here, as I believe Tottenham will play a solid defensive match against an inconsistent Manchester United side. Spurs have played their best football recently, though the sample size is tiny.

They kept a clean sheet against Nottingham Forest at City Ground and also secured a shutout in a recent home match against Everton. Again, slim pickings, but Roberto De Zerbi’s side must turn the corner at some stage, right? And nobody is worried about Tottenham's attack, which has scored the second-fewest goals (2).

Manchester United, meanwhile, were shut out at home against Man City in their previous match at Old Trafford.
