Manchester United vs. Aston Villa Prediction, Picks & Odds for Sunday's Premier League Match
Last Updated: November 7, 2026 11:30 AM EST • 3 minute read X Social Google News Link
The reeling Red Devils have another chance to end their seven-match winless streak in the Premier League, and I offer insight into the chances of that occurring in my Manchester United vs. Aston Villa prediction.
Despite their two-month malaise, Manchester United are the +115 betting favorite to secure all three points in Sunday's tilt at Old Trafford (11:30 a.m. ET, USA Network). While I'm backing Michael Carrick's team to slow the rot, my best bet focuses on Aston Villa's Nicolas Jackson. As part of these Premier League best bets, I've also added insight on the total.

Manchester United vs. Aston Villa best bet
Check out all of our soccer betting analysis and expert predictions this season.
Nicolas Jackson anytime goal (+175)
Jackson scored five goals in the previous five top-flight matches after failing to score in the opening three. He buried three in the last two, including a brace in the home triumph over Man City.
I have less faith in United's defense than I do in my four-year-old son going to bed without being told.
Carrick's side allowed 11 goals in their last four matches in all competitions, the worst of which saw them concede three at home to Bournemouth. United haven't kept a clean sheet in 10 matches. Their only clean sheet in 14 matches in all competitions came in the Champions League against Azerbaijani side Sabah FK.
🆚 Who will win Manchester United vs. Aston Villa?
I'm backing Manchester United to win for the first time in eight Premier League matches. It won't be pretty, but they match up well against Aston Villa and have been historically good against the Midlands team.
Score prediction: Manchester United 2, Aston Villa 1

Manchester United ML (+115)
United overturned a late deficit midweek at Old Trafford to beat Roma 3-2. Sure, Roma were the architects of their own demise, but United deserve credit for not capitulating as they have done so frequently this season.
There was also a passionate argument between Carrick and match winner, Cunha, who scored two goals three minutes apart to secure United's first victory in 10 matches before being sent off in stoppage time. While the discord in the locker room is clear, I'm not yet willing to write Carrick's obituary yet.
The players fought for him midweek, and I expect similar desire against a Villa side that has lost six straight at Old Trafford. While United have been abject for most of the season, they won't remain in the relegation zone. Meanwhile, I expect regression from Villa, who boast the fifth-best away record.
Over 2.5 goals (-176)
Ten of Villa's previous 12 matches in all competitions had at least three goals, and United have become renowned for conceding at least one.
Villa and United have the sixth and seventh-worst expected goals against, respectively, while United have conceded the fifth-most (15), tied with Chelsea and Newcastle.
Unless it finishes 1-1, a distinct possibility, I can't conceive of United keeping a clean sheet. Their rearguard looks slow, cumbersome, and mistake-prone. Aston Villa are also porous and haven't kept a clean sheet in five matches.
