I'm loving the Under here tonight, given the lack of pressure on offensive production. Neither of these teams has anything to play for, and one squad I expect to sit a number of its top players.

Pittsburgh is locked in, and I expect it to rest its stars, which guts the bulk of the offensive production that has propped up its numbers all season. I expect tonight's roster to look like Saturday's squad that posted just 12 shots on goal.

The Blues are eliminated. While they'll want to put on a show in their final home game, this isn't going to be an "all-out" game. Jordan Binnington is projected to get the nod between the pipes and has turned things around, allowing just one or two goals in five of his last seven starts.

Jimmy Snuggerud to record 1+ points (-135)

Snuggerud is finishing his rookie season in elite form. The right wing has posted exactly one point per game over his last 25 games (10 goals, 15 assists).

Playing top-line and top-power-play minutes, mostly on the ice with Robert Thomas, has been a boon to the former first-round pick. Snuggerud's frame and size will be a menace for the Penguins' AHL-level defense, which should give him a great chance to pot his 20th goal of the season.

And that brings us to our bonus player prop: at +240, Snuggerud is a good choice to score tonight. He and his teammates will be pushing hard for him to hit the 20-goal-20-assist mark, becoming the 10th rookie in Blues history to hit the mark. Doing it in front of the home crowd will be the cherry on top.

We're just dabbling in this one with so much of the unknown. Motivations will be all over the place, not dedicating more than three-quarters of a unit to any of our plays. It is difficult to find major edges when we can't reasonably estimate how the coaching staffs on either team will approach the game. Tread lightly.

This game opened as a pick 'em yesterday afternoon and has continued to trend toward the Blues all day. The public is generally in belief that while both teams have "nothing to play for," the Blues do indeed have a bigger motivation to earn a result. That trend will probably continue until game time, but I think there remains value here until probably the -160 range, and I'm not sure it will get that far. 

The total actually opened at the flat 6 but was at 6.5 by this morning. For me, that presents more value. I don't mind the Under on the flat 6, but the juiced under on the 6.5 gives us a chance to cash on a 4-2 or 5-1 victory. The Penguins look like a team that's going to be gutting its offensive firepower, resting them in favor of being healthy and fresh for the postseason.
