Top NHL Parlay Predictions

Blue Jackets-Panthers Over 6 (-120)

There is a very real possibility that the Florida Panthers hit the six-goal mark themselves in this one. They are coming off a 7-1 win against Dallas on Friday night and had a 5-2 victory against Vancouver earlier this week.

Florida has now scored a whopping 45 goals in eight games since the holiday break, including five or more goals in six of those contests. They're allowing some goals as well, with 22 goals conceded in eight games - just under three per game. As a result of this, every Panthers game since the holiday break has gone Over the total.

The Columbus Blue Jackets are seeing a similar trend. They've played seven games since the break with 50 total goals (23 for, 27 against) - an average of just over seven tallies per contest. Six of Columbus' last seven clashes had at least six total goals.

It's projected to be Elvis Merzlikins (13-8-1, 3.04 goals-against average, .911 save percentage) for Columbus and Spencer Knight (7-4-2, 3.39 GAA, .896 SV%) for Florida between the pipes. Those are some fairly high goals-against averages.

Lightning (-200)

The Florida road trip has become a gauntlet for teams this season. The Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning are two of the best teams in the league and it's hard to beat either of them individually, let alone facing them back-to-back. Teams are happy to get anything they can out of those two games.

The Stars felt the wrath of the Panthers on Friday night, falling by a final score of 7-1, and now have to face the Lightning tonight. Jake Oettinger and Anton Khudobin both played in the blowout loss, so the Stars won't even have a rested goaltender to turn to.

The Lightning have really found their game recently with a 4-1-0 record in the last five games. The return of Nikita Kucherov has helped them to 6-1 and 4-2 victories in their last two contests. On top of that, the Lightning are 13-4-3 at home this season while the Stars are 4-11-1 on the road.

Let's take goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy and the Lightning as a big favorite to bridge the gap in our three-team NHL parlay picks.

Kings (-125)

The Los Angeles Kings are playing some phenomenal hockey since the break. They're 5-1-0 since a 6-3 loss to Vegas on Dec. 28 in their first game after the break. In those six games, they've outscored the opposition 23-11 and outshot them 243-148 - an average of more than 15 shots per game.

Los Angeles has won its last three games by scores of 4-0, 3-1, and 6-2. Its 6-2 win against Pittsburgh on Thursday was a statement win as underdogs as the Kings outshot the Penguins 45-29.

The Kings are barely behind the Boston Bruins for the league lead in Expected Goals For Percentage (60.01%) at five-on-five since the break. The Seattle Kraken, on the other hand, are in the middle of the pack at 49.95%.

Speaking of Seattle, although they are a better team at home (6-11-2) than on the road (4-11-2), the Kraken are struggling. The Kraken have not won a game since the holiday break with a 0-5-1 record (outscored 25-14).

Seattle hasn't tasted victory since Dec. 14 and I don't see the Kraken getting it done here. The Kings are red-hot and should continue rolling in Seattle.

Combined Odds: Blue Jackets-Panthers Over 6 (-120) + Lightning (-200) + Kings (-125) = +395
