Coming off a 3–2 overtime win in Game 5, the Vegas Golden Knights can punch their ticket to the Western Conference Finals with a win tonight at the Anaheim Ducks.

However, my Golden Knights vs. Ducks prediction for Game 6 today projects that Anaheim will extend the series to a seventh game with a high-scoring victory at Honda Center, with puck drop set for 9:30 p.m. ET (TNT, truTV, Sportsnet). Read on for my best bet, score prediction, and player prop for tonight's contest, with the Golden Knights listed as a -114 betting favorite and a total of 6.

🏆 Who will win Golden Knights vs. Ducks?

The Ducks have been stellar on home ice all season (28-14-4) and I'm backing them to stay alive with another victory tonight. Look for Anaheim to exploit the absence of suspended Vegas defenseman Brayden McNabb and to edge the Knights in another high-scoring game at The Pond.

Score prediction: Ducks 4, Golden Knights 3

💰 Golden Knights vs. Ducks prediction & best bet

Over 6 (-120)

The Ducks have played high-scoring games at home all year, and this series has been no different. While all three games in Vegas have stayed Under the total, both games in Anaheim saw at least seven goals scored, as did both regular-season games between these clubs.

Vegas is without one of its top shutdown defensemen in the suspended Brayden McNabb and could also be without elite penaltykiller Mark Stone, while Anaheim's PK should also be weaker without the injured Ryan Poehling. Expect the trend of high-scoring games in Anaheim to continue tonight.

🔥 Best Golden Knights vs. Ducks player prop bet

Mason McTavish Over 0.5 points (+144)

After being a healthy scratch in Games 2 and 3, McTavish has responded with two strong efforts. He generated 0.7 expected goals in Game 4, per Moneypuck, and then another 0.8 XG Tuesday in Vegas, when he drew assists on both of Anaheim's goals.

With Ryan Poehling likely out of the lineup due to injury, McTavish could assume more of a playmaking role if he slides into the center spot tonight. His return to the lineup has also sparked a Ducks power play that went 0 for 11 in the first three games of the series but has struck for three goals over the past two games.

FanDuel's +144 odds were the best price available at the time of writing, but I'd also be comfortable playing this down to the +130 price available at BetMGM. If you're interested in a bigger score, BetMGM is offering the best price on McTavish anytime goal (+425).

🚀 Golden Knights vs. Ducks same-game parlay

If the Ducks are going to stave off elimination tonight, I'm expecting them to do it with offense. Not only has Anaheim averaged nearly 3.5 goals per game on home ice, the Ducks have also been leaky defensively at The Pond, allowing at least three goals in nine of their last 12 at home. The strong correlation between an Anaheim win and a high-scoring game makes for a strong SGP tonight.

💡 How I'm betting Golden Knights vs. Ducks

Follow all of our NHL analysis and expert predictions this season.

Anaheim's penchant for playing high-scoring games at home, combined with injuries and suspensions impacting both teams, makes the Over my favorite play tonight and worth a full unit stake. I'm less confident in the Ducks moneyline, given the Knights' advantage in experience and the fact that the last two games were decided by just one goal. In addition to a half unit on the side, I'm also risking a half unit on McTavish's point prop, given its 41% implied probability.

📊 Live Golden Knights vs. Ducks odds: Game 6

The first two games of this series in Anaheim were close to pick 'em prices, and that's the case again tonight with FanDuel opening the Knights as -114 favorites. We could see this line drift towards Anaheim if Mark Stone is confirmed out for Vegas, and I also won't be surprised if the total closes at 6.5 after opening at 6.
