The less-established Cardinals under first-time head coach Mike LaFleur have more to prove in this “meaningless” preseason opener. Look for LaFleur to call a more aggressive game offensively than his counterpart, the Panthers’ Dave Canales, on Thursday as he looks to set the tone for his new regime. That’s why I’m backing Arizona to win straight-up at DraftKings’ market-best +105 odds.

Both veteran signal-callers ahead of the third-round rookie on the depth chart, Jacoby Brissett and Gardner Minshew, are unlikely to take the field. I’m anticipating Beck to finish with at least 15 passing attempts and soar past this yardage total, which I bet at Kalshi. The former Georgia and Miami standout averaged 8.4 yards per attempt in college as an effective downfield passer.
