The Panthers are one of my featured NFL moneyline picks of the week, but I also love their chances of covering the spread on Sunday.
The primary reason is that Carolina's fourth-year quarterback is balling out. Bryce Young has been accurate, confident in the pocket, and explosive downfield going back to the end of last season.
Though he's been better than expected early on, I wouldn't be surprised if Browns fans turn on Deshaun Watson in Cleveland's home opener if he starts poorly. This will be his first game at Huntington Bank Field in nearly two years. He was booed there during the preseason.
DraftKings is one of a few sportsbooks still offering Panthers 2.5, while most of our best sports betting sites have the spread at 3.5.

The Panthers' defense bounced back in a big way last week, holding the Falcons to three points after allowing 59 to the Bears in the season opener.
Yes, that was against Atlanta's third- and fourth-string QBs, but Carolina has the talent to be a top-10 defense when all is said and done this year.
The Panthers will pick up their second straight road win here.
