UFC Vegas 121 Best Bets: Rosas Jr. vs. Bracelos to go Deep

My UFC Vegas 121 best bets for Saturday's card at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas include Raul Rosas Jr. going deep against veteran Raoni Barcelos in the main event. The card also features Rodolfo Vieira vs. Robert Bryczek, two Ultimate Fighter finals, and a ranked women's bantamweight fight between Norma Dumont and Ailin Perez.

I'm mostly avoiding straight moneylines. My favorite angles come from narrowing down how these fights are likely to play out, with rounds, props, and double-chance bets throughout. I had to work hard to find the best bets for UFC Vegas 121, but I like the value these angles provide.

🚀 My best UFC Vegas 121 pick: Rosas Jr. vs. Barcelos Over 4.5 rounds (-128)

Rosas Jr. arrived in the UFC as an aggressive finisher, but his last three fights have all gone the distance. He beat Aoriqileng, Vince Morales, and Rob Font by unanimous decision. The Font fight produced 16 takedowns as Rosas leaned heavily on control instead of using his energy trying for a finish.

Barcelos is even more decision-heavy. Each of his last four victories, over Payton Talbott, Cody Garbrandt, Ricky Simon, and Montel Jackson, went to the judges. He also owns 88% takedown defense, which should make Rosas work for every grappling exchange.

Five rounds add some danger to an Over 4.5 bet, but both fighters have shown they can settle into long, positional fights. At -128, I'm betting this one reaches the final two-and-a-half minutes.

Dumont by submission or points (+135) vs. Perez

Norma Dumont is +110 on the moneyline, but her submission-or-points double chance is +135. Dumont has never won by knockout in 16 professional fights. Her 13 victories consist of 11 decisions and 2 submissions, so this market covers every method she has ever used to win and pays better than her moneyline.

Ailin Perez presents a real wrestling problem at 4.90 takedowns per 15 minutes, but Dumont has gone the distance in 11 consecutive UFC appearances, which gives her a better chance. Perez's six-fight streak also includes five decision wins.

I expect a close fight built around clinches and long stretches of positional work. If Dumont gets the upset, +135 covers the only real outcomes she’s ever delivered.

Bellato by submission or points (+145) vs. Edwards

Rodolfo Bellato is the highest-variance pick of the four, which is why I'm keeping the stake smaller.

Bellato’s opponent, Christian Edwards, went the full 15 minutes with Modestas Bukauskas in his UFC debut and lost a split decision. Across five professional losses, three have come by decision, with only one knockout loss and one submission loss. Bellato, meanwhile, owns four career submissions along with a decision victory and carries a 94% takedown-defense rate in the UFC.

Bellato can absolutely knock Edwards out, which is the obvious risk to this bet. I like the +145 because it gives us his grappling route while also covering a fight where Edwards survives the dangerous opening exchanges and Bellato simply wins more minutes.

Jauregui by decision (-140) vs. Demopoulos

Yazmin Jauregui is being priced like one of the biggest favorites on the card, so I'm not touching her massive moneyline. The decision market gives us a much more reasonable -140 against an opponent who has historically been difficult to stop with strikes.

Vanessa Demopoulos has lost three straight, but two of those defeats went the full 15 minutes against Talita Alencar and Jamey-Lyn Horth. Her only UFC stoppage loss came by submission to Jaqueline Amorim, and she has never been knocked out in the promotion.

Jauregui should own the striking minutes. She lands 6.64 significant strikes per minute and has defended every takedown attempt recorded against her in the UFC, but she's also returning from a two-year layoff. I prefer a controlled 30-27 type of performance over asking her to force a finish
