| Expert | Pick |
|---|---|
| Gary Pearson | Under 43.5 |
| LJ Blut | Rashee Rice anytime touchdown scorer |
| Brenden Schaeffer | Kenneth Walker Under 61.5 rushing yards |
| Andrew Reid | Broncos +2.5 |
Gary Pearson's pick: Under 43.5
Even without factoring in the accrued rust, neither offense was particularly expansive or free-flowing last season. And the Broncos’ defense, which is almost entirely intact from last season, had the fifth-best defensive DVOA.

LJ Blut's pick: Rashee Rice anytime touchdown scorer
Rice enters the matchup as a key piece of Kansas City’s passing attack and should see plenty of opportunities to find the end zone. His ability after the catch and red-zone potential make him our favorite anytime touchdown candidate Monday night.

Brenden Schaeffer's pick: Kenneth Walker Under 61.5 rushing yards
The Chiefs brought in Kenneth Walker this off-season to revitalize their offense after his Super Bowl MVP showing with Seattle. But his first matchup in Kansas City isn’t conducive to much success on the ground, as the Broncos allowed the second-fewest yards in 2025.

Andrew Reid's pick: Broncos +2.5
Denver's defense arrives intact and ready to go and is getting points against a Chiefs side with Mahomes returning from injury, an aging Travis Kelce, a new-to-the-squad Kenneth Walker, and a wide receiver room that spent more time in the rehab room than on the field last year. Mahomes didn't look great last year, even before his injury, and now he's going to have some rust to shake.
