The line has moved slightly in favor of Chicago, with the spread set at Detroit -6. Even though most bettors are backing the Lions, it seems unlikely this spread will move to the key number of seven.
As for the total, the line opened at 49, and it has shot up to 52.5. Even with the number rising, a majority of bettors are backing the Over, as 63% of the cash and 72% of the tickets expect this one to be played in the mid-50s, according to Pregame.com.

Though the Lions have looked solid throughout the second half of the season, their abysmal defensive performance against the Panthers last week makes it hard to trust them against the spread when facing a running quarterback like Justin Fields.
Additionally, the total is unpredictable, as the Bears are averaging just 20.2 points per game, and they have scored 20 or fewer in their last four games.
However, one area in which the Lions have a decided advantage is their passing attack. With a plethora of receivers at his disposal, Jared Goff has looked excellent in the back half of this season. He has thrown for over 300 yards in three of his last four games, and he has not thrown an interception since Week 9 against the Green Bay Packers.
The Lions’ offensive line has been excellent this season, allowing the second-fewest sacks in the league. They will have a juicy matchup against the NFL’s worst defense in terms of sacks per game.
Goff will have all the time in the world, and even if the Lions go up big, they can not afford to let the Bears back into the game.
