The San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals renew their rivalry in Mexico City on Monday Night Football with the Niners eyeing a share of the top spot in the NFC West. Read on for our 49ers-Cardinals NFL picks.

In an effort to grow the game globally, the NFL has added games in Mexico in addition to their annual London games. This is the fifth iteration of games in Azteca Stadium, and it is a pivotal NFC West battle. Just 1.5 games separate the 5-4 49ers and 4-6 Cardinals, but each team is very much alive for a division title, as the 6-4 Seattle Seahawks have not run away with things.

Arizona swept the season series against San Francisco last year by a combined score of 48-27. The Cardinals have also won three of the previous four meetings dating back to the start of the 2020 season. However, it was reported Monday morning that Colt McCoy will be under center for the Cards on Monday night.

Here are our 49ers-Cardinals NFL picks for Week 11 (odds via PointsBetDraftKings Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

49ers vs. Cardinals Odds Analysis

The consensus spread has grown significantly in San Francisco's favor throughout the week. The early line had the 49ers as 5.5-point favorites for the neutral-site game. That line sits at 10 points as of Monday morning with 67% of the tickets accounting for 75% of the handle on the Niners.

Despite the spread growing, the Over/Under has ticked down from the opening line of 45 points to 42.5 as of Monday morning. Still, bettors are seemingly aligned on the Over with 67% of the tickets accounting for 69% of the handle.

49ers vs. Cardinals ATS Pick

49ers -8 (-110) ★★

Though the 49ers managed just 22 points against the L.A. Chargers on Sunday Night Football last week, it was easily quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo’s best game. On passes 10-plus yards downfield, Garoppolo had season-highs in QBR (98), completion percentage (7-for-11, 63.6%), and passing yards (138).

Arizona is a 10-4 straight up since the start of last season with wideout DeAndre Hopkins in the starting lineup. However, quarterback Kyler Murray will again be sidelined due to a hamstring injury. McCoy (knee) will make a second straight start. In addition, favorites went 4-0 SU and ATS in the first four games played in Azteca Stadium.

Cardinals backers should head to FanDuel, the only sportsbook offering a line of 8.5. However, with us liking the favorites, we are happy to place our wager at PointsBet, which offers the best juice (-107) of all sportsbooks with -8 as their point spread.

49ers vs. Cardinals O/U Pick

Over 43.5 (-107) ★★★

San Francisco has held seven of its nine opponents to 19 or fewer points. That alone will have many siding with the Under, especially with the possibility that McCoy is under center. However, McCoy is 3-1 in his career as the Cardinals starting quarterback, and the Cardinals offense has averaged 29 points per game over the last four games. That is even without having starting running back James Conner available for two of those games. Conner looks in excellent form, coming off a two-touchdown performance after posting just one touchdown in his first six games.

The two games played in Azteca Stadium that kicked off with a total in the 50s went Under the projected total, and the two in the 40s went Over. We’re siding with that trend again.

49ers vs. Cardinals Prop Pick

Hopkins anytime touchdown scorer (+170) ★★★

Hopkins has 10-plus catches in three of four games played. A target hog like that with this high of odds to score a touchdown is something we have to jump at.

Hopkins went for 9/87/1 in his last game against San Francisco and will undoubtedly get his share of targets again (46 in four games this season), especially if his team is trailing throughout.
