Mavericks vs. Spurs best bet

The Spurs are obviously a much better team than the Mavericks, but the small-sample stats we have from this season make the Mavericks look worse than I believe they are. The Mavericks have played the fourth-hardest strength of schedule (tied with the Thunder, per Power Rankings Guru), while the Spurs have played the sixth-easiest.
So, while the Spurs have won two of their last four games by more than 10 points, those games were against the Kings, the Jazz (twice), and the Timberwolves without Anthony Edwards. The Mavericks should be their toughest opponent over the past week and a half.

Cooper Flagg Over 30.5 points + assists (-109 via BetRivers)
The Mavericks are coming off a straight-up loss against the Kings, who are likely the worst team in the NBA, so Dallas should be fully focused today.
The last time the Mavericks were coming off a loss - a 16-point blowout against the Spurs - Cooper Flagg responded with 29 points and 11 assists, leading the Mavericks to an upset win against the Heat in Miami. He attempted a team-high 23 field goals, including eight 3-pointers.
Flagg ranks eighth in the NBA with 0.95 points + assists per minute, and I expect him to play more minutes coming off a bad loss.

Victor Wembanyama Over 26.5 points (-110 via BetMGM)
Victor Wembanyama has had more scoring opportunities than last season, when he attempted just 16.9 field goals per game. Since losing the first two games of the season, Wembanyama is averaging 22.6 field-goal attempts per game, the fifth-most in the NBA in that span (min. four games played).
While attempting a lot of shots doesn't necessarily guarantee points, Wembanyama is also making those shots at a 52.2% clip, the highest among the qualified top five in that sample. I expect him to remain aggressive after going just 5 of 15 from the field against the Jazz last time out.
