Like so many problem children, Jake "Problem Child" Paul apparently doesn't like waiting. To be honest, I'm starting to get a little impatient waiting for Saturday, too.

With his fight against "Iron" Mike Tyson postponed from its original date on July 20 to Nov. 15, Paul has found a new opponent for the original date. The YouTuber-turned-boxer will now face Mike "Platinum" Perry on Saturday, and we explore the Paul vs. Perry odds from our best boxing betting sites.

Perry is a former UFC welterweight who turned to bare-knuckle boxing. He's been enjoying an excellent start on that circuit, going 5-0.

His boxing resume is a little less full and a little sparser. His lone match with the heavy gloves came in 2015 before joining the UFC, where he suffered a fourth-round knockout loss to Kenneth McNeil.

Paul is a former YouTuber who has begun his boxing career against a very curated list of opponents.

Things have gone much differently for Paul than Perry in the boxing ring. He's compiled a 9-1 professional record, although it's come against a largely curated opponent list. His specialty, in particular, seems to be facing former UFC fighters, with victories over Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley (x2), Anderson Silva, and Nate Diaz.

The lone blemish on his record came against Tommy Fury, a former professional boxer who defeated him via split decision.

Although Perry has looked excellent as a bare-knuckle fighter, he's a heavy underdog against Paul. The best odds you can find on the former Youtuber is the -425 line posted at DraftKings, but even there, you would need to risk $42.50 to profit $10. That line comes with an implied win probability of 81.31%.

How to bet on boxing

To bet on boxing, research fighters' records and styles, then explore various bet types like moneyline, round betting, and method of victory bets.

Consider factors like punching power and defensive skills, and stay updated on fighters' readiness through press conferences and training camp reports. Choose a reliable sportsbook, compare odds, and place bets responsibly within your budget and risk tolerance.

How do boxing betting odds work?

Boxing betting odds represent the probability of different outcomes in a boxing match and help determine potential payouts for bettors.

The most common type of boxing betting odds is the moneyline, which indicates the likelihood of each fighter winning the match. For example, if Fighter A has odds of -200 and Fighter B has odds of +150, Fighter A is considered the favorite, while Fighter B is the underdog.

The negative number (-200) next to Fighter A's name indicates how much money you would need to bet to win $100, while the positive number (+150) next to Fighter B's name indicates how much you would win if you bet $100.

In addition to the moneyline, boxing betting odds may also include Over/Under rounds, round betting, and method of victory bets.

Over/Under rounds allow bettors to wager on whether the fight will last longer or shorter than a specified number of rounds set by the sportsbook.

Round betting involves predicting the specific round in which the fight will end, while method of victory bets allow bettors to wager on how the fight will be won (i.e., knockout, decision).

Understanding these different types of betting odds can provide bettors with a variety of options to tailor their wagers to their predictions and risk preferences.

By analyzing fighters' skills, styles, and recent performances, bettors can make informed decisions and potentially capitalize on favorable betting opportunities in the dynamic world of boxing betting.
