Evian Championship Odds, Picks and LPGA Preview: Minjee Lee Favored to Go Back-to-Back

Odds, picks and preview for the LPGA's Evian Championship 2022. Don't miss out! SBR - trusted by bettors for over 20 years.

As the fourth major on the LPGA schedule, the Amundi Evian Championship will take place at the Evian Resort Golf Club in southeast France. We analyze the Evian Championship tournament odds and pick our favorite outright bets.

Minjee Lee will seek to defend her title at the Evian Championship, and she is the betting favorite at +900. Lee's top position on the odds board should come as no surprise considering she ran away with the U.S. Women's Open earlier this season and also won the Cognizant Founders Cup before that.

The following are my top outright picks for the Evian Championship at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Evian-les-Bains, France.

Evian Championship Picks: Favorites

Minjee Lee (+1000 via BetRivers)

Lee is considered the favorite and is carrying a short price of +1000, but honestly, this is justified for the defending champion. Lee leads the LPGA in strokes gained: approach and not by a small margin. Lee has an average strokes gained: approach of 2.68, almost a full stroke better than In Gee Chun, who ranks second in this statistic with an average SG: approach of 1.73.

The way that Lee is striking the ball this season is quite impressive and at +1000, I think you should put this bet in your pocket and you will be glad that you did come Sunday.

Jin Young Ko (+1400 via BetRivers)

As soon as I saw the odds, +1400 on Ko jumped out at me, as this price is far too high for the World No.1. Ko won this event in 2019 and usually trades at a price significantly lower than what you are seeing this week. Every week Ko does not win a tournament, her odds are increased slightly, and this is a mistake.

In the PGA Tour and LPGA combined, I have bet on Ko more than any other golfer, and +1400 is an excellent value.

Evian Championship Picks: Contenders

Atthaya Thitikul (+2000 via BetRivers)

It is an automatic bet to include Thitikul in the portfolio as long as her price remains above +2000. At the age of 18, Thitikul finished fifth at the Evian Championship when she was not even a member of the LPGA. Right now, she is in the middle of her rookie season and is coming off of back-to-back top-five finishes in her last two events.

I recommend that you buy Thitikul at +2000 while you still have the opportunity, as she will eventually be priced under +1500 for the majority of her career.

In Gee Chun (+4500 via BetRivers)

Chun is coming off of a victory at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, she is ranked second on the LPGA in SG: approach and she is priced at +4500 for the Evian Championship? Obviously, this would never fly on the PGA Tour, but that is the beauty of betting on the LPGA. In the event that you need any additional reasons to take advantage of this +4500 price point on Chun, she finished T-6 at the Evian Championship last year.

Evian Championship Picks: Long Shot

Nanna Koerstz Madsen (+15000 via FanDuel Sportsbook)

Koerstz Madsen has not performed well at the Evian Championship, and she is currently in a slump, but I cannot believe the price we are getting this week. This season, she finished T-8 at the Chevron Championship and currently ranks 17th on the LPGA in SG: total with an average of 1.17. By comparison, Ariya Jutanugarn ranks 84th in strokes gained, yet she has a shorter price than Koerstz Madsen at +10000.
