The Houston Astros look to bounce back in Game 4 of the World Series Wednesday, after their poor performance last night in a 7-0 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies. The game featured five home runs for the Phillies, so the Astros will look to have a similar offensive-minded game plan in hopes of a win.

DraftKings Promo Code: World Series Game 4

Houston has some work to do after a lackluster effort in their last outing. The Astros are down 2-1 to the Phillies with two games left on the road. A few wins will give them the opportunity to win their second World Series title, only this time, in front of their home crowd.

It was a rough outing last night for the Astros’ starter Lance McCullers Jr. The right-hander went 4 1/3 and surrendered all seven of Philadelphia’s runs. He managed to strike out five batters in that span, but that was overshadowed by the five home runs he allowed. His bullpen stopped the bleeding as Ryne Stanek and José Urquidy combined to allow only two more batters to reach base the rest of the game.

The top of the Houston batting order did their team no favors as well. Of the first four batters, only Jeremy Peña and Alex Bregman managed to reach base. Even then they did so just three times between the two. The Astros saw their hitters strike out seven times in total and left 11 runners on base.

While their opponents are recycling Aaron Nola to the mound for Game 4, Houston is sending a fresh arm in RHP Cristian Javier to face the Phillies. Javier started 25 games and appeared in 30 total during the regular season. All told he went 11-9 with a 2.54 ERA and 0.95 WHIP. He pitched in 148 2/3 innings total registering 194 strikeouts. He appeared in 6 2/3 innings this postseason and has allowed a run.

Javier will have to fend off a surging Phillies offense that has scored 15 runs so far in this series. He will also hope for some run support after his team was held scoreless last night.
