Blue Jays vs. Red Sox Same Game Parlay Picks: Will Gausman Keep Piling Up Strikeouts?

The Toronto Blue Jays have started hot on their current road trip, and one of their top starters will be on the mound as they go for a sweep in Boston on Thursday. Here are our Blue Jays-Red Sox same-game parlay picks for Thursday.
Kevin Gausman has racked up gaudy strikeout totals during his last two starts against the Red Sox. Will that trend continue Thursday and lead to quality value?
Here are my same-game parlay picks for Thursday’s Blue Jays-Red Sox matchup (odds via FanDuel Sportsbook; Pick confidence is based on a 1-to-5-star scale).
Blue Jays vs. Red Sox Same-Game Parlay Picks

Same-Game Parlay Predictions for Blue Jays vs. Red Sox
Blue Jays -1.5 (-110) ★★★★
After hitting some of our same-game parlay predictions two days in a row, we’re looking to keep things simple on Thursday and exploit an obvious pitching matchup advantage for Toronto.
Gausman carries a 2.99 ERA into this battle with the Red Sox. He endured one hiccup on Aug. 14 (five earned runs against the Cleveland Guardians), but Gausman has posted 21 scoreless innings across his other three starts in August. Meanwhile, Kutter Crawford was just shelled for nine runs and three homers during his last outing for Boston.
Though Toronto has been unimpressive on the road when trying to cover the run line, the Blue Jays have won six of their last seven contests, including five of six on their ongoing road trip. Toronto also would have covered this run line in five of its last seven outings.
The Jays are hot and Crawford isn't. Take Toronto to win big.
Crawford Under 4.5 strikeouts (-164) ★★★★
Let’s keep riding this theme of an uninspiring night for Crawford. Though Crawford has displayed solid swing-and-miss stuff at times in 2022, he's failed to go beyond four strikeouts in four of his last six starts.
That includes an outing against the Blues Jays on July 23 when Crawford managed to stay in the game for six innings, but he struck out only four Toronto hitters. The Blue Jays boast the sixth-lowest per-game strikeout rate in MLB during the 2022 season, so it’s difficult to rack up punchouts against them even with powerful stuff. Crawford didn’t make it out of the fourth inning his last time out, so he’ll need to significantly improve his efficiency to get to five strikeouts on Thursday. Fade him here.
Gausman Over 6.5 strikeouts ★★★★
Gausman has totaled six, 10, five, five, and seven strikeouts over his last five starts. His recent results don't lead to much of an edge here until we factor in Thursday's opponent.
The veteran has faced the Red Sox twice over his last 10 starts, fanning 10 batters both times. Those outings weren’t his only fruitful run-ins with Boston in 2022. Gausman faced the Red Sox twice in April, striking out eight and nine batters in those outings while giving up one run over 14 innings.
He’s been successful against Boston all season, and this strikeout line is too low to be featured at plus money.
Combined Odds: Blue Jays -1.5 (-110) + Crawford Under 4.5 Strikeouts (-164) + Gausman Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+106) = +415
