The most star-filled night in baseball lies ahead, and I'm diving in with my MLB All-Star Game player props while targeting two American League sluggers.

That's Bobby Witt Jr. and Shea Langeliers, though they'll both face a daunting challenge in the Dylan Cease vs. Cristopher Sanchez mound matchup that kicks off the festivities tonight. Witt and Langeliers thrive against sinkers though, and Sanchez has been susceptible to damage at times lately.

It all starts at 8 p.m. ET from Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia (FOX), with the National League entering as the -135 betting favorite.

💰 Best MLB All-Star Game player prop bet

Bobby Witt Jr. to record a hit (+105)

It's usually not worthwhile to dip into the to record a hit market since the prices are often wildly unappealing. But it's much different tonight, largely due to the starters only being in the game a brief time, and typically for two at-bats.

Which brings us to Bobby Witt Jr., who sports the second-best expected batting average MLB-wide at .311. He's been excelling against sinkers too, according to Baseball Savant, while posting a .288 batting average and 65.5 hard-hit percentage. It's a pitch that Sanchez leans on often, and it's his worst in terms of expected slugging, sitting at .512.

📡 SBR Edge: Blending contact and power

Some of Witt's counting stats, like his 13 homers, are down a bit. But that should change soon if he keeps tattooing the ball, and he's posting a 95th-percentile hard-hit rate that sits at 52.7%.

🔥 More MLB All-Star Game player prop picks

Jhoan Duran 2+ strikeouts (+100)

There's always a risk when targeting a reliever in the All-Star Game of the pitcher not making an appearance. However, that's mitigated significantly here with Jhoan Duran being in front of his hometown crowd in Philadelphia.

And if we then assume he gets an inning of work, this is a highly appealing even-money price for an imposing power pitcher who's one of only two sitting in the 100th percentile in strikeout rate. Duran boasts a 39.7% rate and an astronomical 13.8 K/9.

Much of that is the product of a borderline untouchable sweeper that opposing hitters are slugging just .091 against.

Shea Langeliers home run (+900)

Sanchez isn't just any lefty, as he's one of the league's top-tier southpaws with a baffling changeup.

Nonetheless, Langeliers has been seeing the ball exceptionally well against lefties while putting up a sky-high 1.017 OPS against them this season. Meanwhile, Sanchez has been uncharacteristically vulnerable of late while giving up 21 earned runs across his past six outings, many of which came through the hurler's eight dingers allowed during that wobbly stretch.

Much like Witt, Langeliers excels against sinkers too while slugging .525 with a 51.9% hard-hit rate.

🚀 MLB All-Star Game player props same-game parlay

I wasn't able to include the Duran prop in this parlay, so we're going with an equally appealing strikeout play on Cease as part of this juicy three-legger.

💡 How I'm betting MLB All-Star Game player props: MLB strategy

Follow all of our MLB analysis and expert predictions for baseball season.

Any All-Star Game is the height of recreational betting.

Sure, the MLB All-Star Game can't be fully reduced to a shell of the sport, like the hockey and basketball equivalents that feature little to no defense. But every player only gets a brief cameo, instead of a whole game's worth of at-bats to cash your prop wager. By all means get in on the fun tonight, but do it with a more conservative sprinkle, as I have here with my quarter-unit wagers.
