A top-10 team will make just its second road trip of the season against a top-25 defense in my latest Texas vs. Missouri prediction.

No. 7 Texas, led by QB Arch Manning, will face No. 18 Missouri in an early SEC clash on a loaded Week 10 college football slate. The Longhorns are just 2.5-point betting favorites on the road at Memorial Stadium in Columbia, Mo., with kickoff set for noon ET (ESPN).

Under 42.5 (-110 via FanDuel)

I expect a low-scoring, hard-fought game between these two opponents. Missouri's strength is its defense, limiting opponents to under 20 points per game this season.

Yes, the Tigers allowed Kamario Taylor and Trinidad Chambliss to each rack up big air yards and passing touchdowns. However, both of those came on the road. Missouri holds a big home advantage, hosting a Longhorns team that hasn't played a true road game since a narrow 20-17 win over Tennessee in Week 4.

Texas has a top-20 defense that also outperforms its 53rd-ranked scoring offense. With two mediocre offenses and a pair of stout defenses, I expect this game to yield a few empty possessions with a premium on touchdowns.

Go to FanDuel and bet Under 42.5 at -110 odds.

Texas and Missouri are both 5-3 for point total unders in 2026.

Missouri's defense gives Texas a scare in Columbia

Missouri pulled off a big win over a surging Florida offense at home earlier this season. The Tigers have a strong run game, posting 5.6 YPC or better in 3 of their previous 4 contests.

Manning and the Longhorns have been held to 24 or fewer points by other top SEC defenses like Tennessee and Oklahoma. A rare road game adds a bit more adversity, especially against a tough-nosed defense like Missouri. Texas escapes Columbia with a tight win over the Tigers.

Play to: Under 41.5

Score prediction: Texas 21, Missouri 20
