On Saturday afternoon, the 123rd Army-Navy Game will be played at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Here are our Navy-Army Same Game Parlay picks.

The fact both Army (5-6) and Navy (4-7) enter Saturday’s big game with losing records on the season probably isn’t much of a concern for either side. Whether this campaign was a successful one or not will come down to what takes place on Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday.

Here are our Same Game Parlay picks for Saturday’s matchup between Navy and Army (odds via FanDuel Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Navy vs. Army Same Game Parlay Picks

  • Navy -2.5 (-118)
  • Over 32.5 (-110)
  • Tyhier Tyler Over 56.5 rushing yards (-110)

Navy vs. Army Same Game Parlay Predictions

Navy -2.5 (-118) ★★★

After trailing at halftime, Navy won last year’s game, 17-13. Quarterback Tai Lavatai ran for two Midshipmen touchdowns in that game and returned this season as a junior to command the Naval attack.

Though Army has a senior quarterback — we’ll discuss him further down in this parlay breakdown — who will be motivated to will his side to victory in his final appearance in this matchup, Navy should have the advantage in the run game. Army boasts a better per game rushing yardage total at 267.2 to Navy’s 245.1, but Navy has done a much better job at stopping the opposing run game than Army this season.

The Midshipmen rank fifth in the nation in run defense, allowing just 93.1 rushing yards per game. Army allows more than 100 additional rushing yards per game, having been gashed on the ground for 196 yards per contest (109th in FBS). That’s where Navy makes its hay in a productive afternoon for the Midshipmen.

Over 32.5 (-110) ★★★

Over the course of the 21st century, there’s perhaps no sports betting trend more consistent than the Army-Navy Game going Under. With both sides running variations of the triple-option offense, the general lack of an explosive passing game means ball control is critical.

The general style of play by both teams has led to a remarkable 16 consecutive Unders for the matchup. However, oddsmakers are pushing the envelope with the total this time around. If the total was 32.5 during each game of the 16-straight Under streak, the Over would actually be 9-7 over that span. Though neither offense ranked highly in scoring this season — both Army and Navy average between 23 and 26 points per game — I could see there being some extraordinary fireworks in this year’s game.

Navy boasts one of the top run defenses in the nation, but Army’s motivated senior quarterback can make his mark in getting the Black Knights into the end zone a couple of times. Navy, meanwhile, can take advantage of an Army run defense that has been uncharacteristically soft this season. Both DraftKings and FanDuel feature the number at 32.5 with standard -110 odds on the Over.

Tyhier Tyler Over 56.5 rushing yards (-110) ★★★★★

Army quarterback Tyhier Tyler is in for a big day on Saturday. There’s a history of senior quarterbacks in this matchup leaving it all on the field in their final Army-Navy Game, and this is that moment for Tyler.

Tyler has cleared this rushing line in six of 10 games this season, including three 100-yard rushing efforts. As a fixture of the Army offense in the Black Knights’ 15-0 win in 2020, Tyler ran for 96 yards and a touchdown in that game.

We’re riding with FanDuel for this parlay, as DraftKings hasn’t listed player props for the matchup as of this writing. But we like our odds at FanDuel, as pairing an Over for one of Army’s offensive players with a Navy cover on the point spread is a contrarian play that boosts the combined odds of the parlay.
