Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is nursing a nagging elbow injury in his right arm deemed as tendinitis, and the Rams have moved from being a 1-point favorite to a 2.5-point underdog for their Week 1 home game against the Buffalo Bills at Caesars Sportsbook.

The Rams-Bills matchup is the only Week 1 game where the favorite has switched and it also has the largest line movement at Caesars.

Buffalo has received 74% of betting tickets and 88% of the betting handle on spread bets at the sportsbook.

“The [Matt] Stafford elbow injury reports are definitely concerning,” noted Adam Pullen, Assistant Director of Trading at Caesars Sportsbook. “We don’t quite know the severity of it, but people will always react to news such as that. Combine that with that some people are looking at all the emotion on opening night with the Super Bowl banner raised, and that potential letdown could be a factor against the Rams. So it’s not surprising that the line has moved to the Bills’ favor.”
