Mickelson came under harsh criticism for his previous comments regarding the Saudi-backed Golf venture and has not played on the PGA Tour since missing the cut at the Farmers Insurance Open in late January.
Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia, Ian Poulter, Kevin Na, Lee Westwood, Graeme McDowell, and Louis Oosthuizen are among other notables joining the controversial series.
Mickelson has won six majors on the PGA tour, including three Masters, two PGA Championships, and one Open Championship.
