Patriots’ Rhamondre Stevenson Huge Liability for BetMGM

New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson is the largest liability for BetMGM to lead the NFL in rushing touchdowns during the regular season.
Stevenson has received 6.0% of the betting tickets and 7.6% of the betting handle in the market. The second-year RB has seen his odds climb from +6600 to +8000 to score the most rushing touchdowns during the regular season.
Clearly, bookmakers at BetMGM are welcoming additional betting action on Stevenson by increasing his odds in the touchdown market.
Stevenson currently projects to operate in a backfield committee with RB Damien Harris. It’s definitely worth highlighting that despite starting all 25 games he’s played for the Patriots the past two seasons, Harris has recently been the subject of trade rumors.
If Harris was in fact dealt to another organization, Stevenson stands to handle a significant workload on the ground for New England. That’s likely the exact angle Stevenson bettors had in mind when backing him to lead the NFL in rushing touchdowns this season at BetMGM.

Derrick Henry, Tennessee Titans
After topping the NFL in rushing scores during both the 2019 and 2020 seasons, Henry scored 10 times on the ground through just eight games last year.
As a result, it isn’t surprising to see him sporting the second shortest odds in this market while also receiving the most betting tickets and highest betting handle.
Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts
The betting favorite to score the most rushing touchdowns this season pulled off the feat last year while also pacing the NFL in rushing yards and yards from scrimmage.
With veteran quarterback Matt Ryan leading the way for Indianapolis this year, the entire offense should be improved and potentially provide Taylor with even more scoring opportunities.
Najee Harris, Pittsburgh Steelers
Bettors are clearly expecting another big showing from Harris in his second year, as he paced the NFL in touches as a rookie and found the end zone seven times on the ground.
Harris once again projects to handle a huge workload again this year. As long as he stays healthy, the second-year rusher will have an opportunity to remain among the favorites in this market throughout the season.
James Conner, Arizona Cardinals
At first glance, Conner might be a bit of a surprising name to be hanging around the top of both the ticket and handle lists. However, he’s already scored double-digit rushing touchdowns twice through his first five seasons in the league, including a career-high 15 last year.
It’s also worth noting that No. 1 wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is suspended the first six games of the year, so Conner could be leaned on more than ever near the goal line to start the 2022 campaign.
