The final for the 2021-22 UEFA Champions League is now set, and Liverpool are the clear favorites across the top U.S sportsbooks.

The Premier League side will take on La Liga champions Real Madrid on May 28 at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, a suburb of Paris. Liverpool survived a scare in the second leg against Villarreal to win 5-2 on aggregate and advance to the final, whereas Real Madrid came back in the second leg on their home ground to go through 6-5. It was the third straight round they made a comeback to advance.

It's no surprise that Liverpool are the clear favorites in this match at this point. The Reds are still in play for the quadruple, a season where they could potentially win four different trophies. There is still work to be done for Liverpool in the Premier League to catch up to Manchester City if they want to win the league. Liverpool will be playing Chelsea in the FA Cup final on May 14.

For Real Madrid, they clinched the La Liga title last weekend and have the opportunity to rest and rotate players before this match on May 28.

This is a rematch of the 2018 Champions League Final that Real Madrid won 3-1. Of course, both teams are in very different places since that final. Real Madrid won their third consecutive Champions League title that day, and it ended up being Cristiano Ronaldo's final game at Real Madrid. This is their first return to the final since then.

2018 was Liverpool's first Champions League final since 2007. They won the competition the very next year in 2019 and won the Premier League for the first time ever, and their first domestic league title in 30 years.
