The LIV Golf Invitational Series has announced the players that will be joining the Saudi-backed golf circuit for its first event in London next week.
Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia, Ian Poulter, Kevin Na, Lee Westwood, Graeme McDowell, and Louis Oosthuizen are among the notables joining the controversial series.
Johnson, as the most notable name, has secured around $125 million to abandon the PGA Tour and join the new series.

There will likely be fallout for the PGA golfers that are making this move. Phil Mickelson received heavy criticism for his involvement in the LIV Golf Invitational Series but, following that blowback, his name was not included on the list of initial participants.
This week’s PGA Tournament is the Memorial, teeing off Thursday, with Jon Rahm as the favorite (odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel Sportsbook, and Caesars Sportsbook).
